Accountability - What did you eat, Sunday 05/20?

OMG Did I miss you guys ...And by the way, GOOD MORNING everyone!!  I'm back, please come visit me Well I took my laptop with me to Wilmington with full intentions of being on everyday to post accountability, after all I rely on you guys to keep me in line, that is what accountability is about...Anyway, I really am technologically challenged, cause I did not realize, in this day and age you have to have an ethernet card to hook up from your hotel ( the last time I traveled with the laptop I just plugged into the wall and dialed up, like I said techno challenged )... Okay, so I wrote down all my food on 5/15 and that evening sat down to log in, no go, and what did that mean to me - well by the morning I had myself convinced that since I did not have to report in, it was OK to relax my food a little...I will leave it at - I fell way off my program, way to many carbs and a dabble or two a day in real sugar, it was not pretty and I'm not happy about letting myself stray so much...Really showed me how important it is to me to take stock daily and account to someone other than myself...So I'm back on program today and reporting Sunday's food, it too was not so good of a day choice wise, but I put it ALL down and am taking a good look right now...TODAY WILL BE A BETTER DAY, I'm back on board and captain of my ship...Thanks for listening to the rant... B - 10 oz protein hot chocolate       2 slice of bacon S  - 3 M & M's        1 mexican wedding cookie        5 strawberries (at in the field while picking) L - 2   2"x2" thin crust mushroom pizza squares       5 sour cream and cheddar potato chips S - 20 oz decaf sf/ff french vanilla/caramel latte S - 1 sugar cookie (while in the grocery bakery area)       south beach peanutbutter protein bar D - 3 oz orange rosemary pork roast w/ gravy       1/4 cup steamed rice       3/4 cup caesar salad S - 3/4 of a  nsa strawberry shortcake w/reddi-whip (some of the berries picked in the a.m.) PLUS - 60 oz water/crystal light Did not put it in Fitday for Cals, Carbs, Fat and Protein - afraid to see the numbers ...Just satisified that the scale only showed a 1 lb increase after a basically a week of free for all... Hi Anita, Repeat after me " I am the captain, I steer this ship...I am the captain...I am the captain...  )... That being said (over and over again like a mantra) - you did a great job yesterday, nice choices...I personally give myself a 5 lb window to play with each month, as I get closer to 5 lbs over my personal goal I start to freakout a little and really buckle down to brass tacks to fix what I'm overdoing in, at the 5 lb point I usually cut myself off from ALL white carbs and high carb goodies - stick with protein as my main supplement and use shakes as my protein source for 2 of my 6 mini-meals a day...This is what works for me (so far) and what I am comfortable with...Figure out what works for you and do it, YOU CAN, 5 lbs is very workable, I have recovered from a 5 lb gain several times and expect to again in the future, I am not perfect and sometimes go overboard on both good and bad food choices, YOU WILL PERSERVE, YOU WILL CONCOR, YOU ARE "THE CAPTAIN"... Welcome back aboard the boat...Keep up the good work...Alesia

B- 1 turkey sausage, 1 fried agg, 1 piece american cheese S- banana L- nonfat cottage cheese, 3 strawberries, 1 sf jello D-protien bar 20 grams pro and 1 sugar S-snk size popcorn S-FREAKIN  diritos chips snk size THE WHOLE BAG I gained 2 lbs now im back at 150 ug..... i new i was eating to much crap..

OK Sheila, Don't sweat the small stuff, I'm trying not to - the snak size doritos is like, what 13 chips- thats a serving by the way - its OK you are only human and sometimes you will just have to have that taste of something, look at it this way, doritos can be crunched up into nothing, it could have been the whole full size bag...The couple pounds gained by getting off track seems to be the recurring theme today, for all of us, the important part to remember is  - you saw it before it got out of control, you're on top the the opportunity to fix the overdo and YOU CAN...Don't let this little gain send  you spinning out of control and go overboard the other way, remember to cut back on the poor food choices but keep up the good protein choices Today is a new day, better choices are here, plan you next day's food tonight... i have a feeling this is going to scare the crap out of you people. Here goes: B: 2 sugar free fudgepops 1 veggie hotdog (which I promptly threw up... yes, this is bad... i should not be doing this) L: chocolate galore (i don't even know what all i ate in cookie, candy form, but it was ALOT) pb sandwich on low fat wheat bread (ya I know what was the point after all that) D: subway sub (6 inch, chicken w/fat free italian) S: like 3 sugar free fudgepops 3-4 rice cakes sigh... i have issues guys... binge... purge... then i starve myself. and then i do it all again.

Hey Jazz, First let me say, glad to have you, welcome aboard  , you are a month further out than I am (June 7th, 2005)...Happy  2nd Surgiversary!!! Now...you know, you don't scare me at all, this is not scary, this is reality, I truly believe everyone has days like this EVERYONE...OK almost a whole box of sf fudgepops in one day may not be the ultimate food choice, but it is not the leading line in fright night either...Neither is "ALOT" of chocolate, I'll bet that alot now feels more like alot then it really is - how about in one day, 2 whole 1 lb bags of peanut butter m & m's  (eaten throughout the day) & dozen assorted cookies (eaten while working and not payming attention) & an icecream sunday ( got to have dessert after dinner) - banana's royal with extra fudge sauce and pralines-n-cream icecream & lets not forget the soda for breakfast with a bag of flavored chips and slimjim - this was not an untypical day of overindulgence in my presurgery days, now I would say that is ALOT...The point - you realize what you are doing, FIX IT...If you need help with ways to do that, post, I'll help, others will too, I love that about OH...I'm living proof you can talk yourself into trouble "ya know what was the point after all that" sounds just like my "couldn't log in to post accountability so I just let it all hang out"...I'm back in charge of my choices, YOU CAN BE TOO... Today is a new day, put your best behavior forward ! detox ! Plan ahead! Learn from the past !  See ya in the postings  Alesia

Welcome back, Alesia!  Man - I had the "snicker snackers" this weekend!  Whenever my daughter is home, this seems to happen.  I'm not blaming her, though - but it seems like she's always eating something and it makes me want to eat, too .  Plus I'm having to go to the chiropracter's 3 times a week and that makes me feel sorry for me so I want to eat more.  Okay, enough excuses!!!!! B - 1 serving oatmeal w/2 T ground flax, 1 T sf Smucker's boysenberry jam, 1/2 c ff milk, banana S - 8 oz nsa peach yogurt, AchievONE L - apple w/2 T pb, sf Jell-O cup, O'Coco's, 5 sf Werthers S - 1 oz jalapeno cheese, 1 c cherries, AchivONE then later 3 sf Godiva chocolates D - individual cup of 2% cottage cheese, 1/2 c 3 bean salad, 1 c mixed fruit, sf Jell-O cup w/ff RW, sf fudgie S - 1 oz peach chips, 1/4 c cashews Plus I had 64 oz water, 16 oz half decaf coffee, 16 oz green tea, 12 oz diet peach soda, 12 oz cf Diet Coke, 12 oz sf hot cocoa w/ff RW and I treaded for 30 minutes.  I'm having to go slower than usual and no incline because of my back .
