Oh Dear!  I have really got to get my act together

I have 45 lbs to lose now.  I got down 105 lbs to 185, only 15 lbs from goal and blew it by eating a couple of bites of freshly made home baked bread.  It was downhill from there on out. I was reading in one forum, that one of the ladies made a  "control Plan", and I made one that fit my lifestyle and thought I would share.

1. REAL night hunger: 3-4 oz lean protein and/or raw

Veggies or protein shakes

2. Snack food cravings - Protein shake or low fat/sugar/salt

Protein food

3. Walk on treadmill

4. Make sure to take chewable vitamin and have at least two protein drinks a day. This helps to reduce cravings

5. Eating Out - Salad and lean protein, except for once a month - have whatever I want

6. Grocery shopping - stay out of the candy aisle. Develop tunnel vision at the check-outs.

7. Staying on track - Refuse to have high/refined carb foods in house. Have plenty of appropriate foods on hand

8. Staying focused stay in touch with online support groups

9. Be aware of what I eat - use FitDay to be aware of carb and fat grams, calories, water and protein

10. CARE ENOUGH ABOUT YOURSELF TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE WORTH IT

Now all I have to do is remember #10 and stick with it! LOL!! I have lost 7 lbs this last 10 days, so I am off to a good start. What I need is a POST surgery angel to follow up with me, email me, or whatever, to keep me posting.  At least until I get into the habit of being here. Not much support at home, just plenty of sabotaging (sp?) Can I get someone to help me here please? Many thanks CT

CT; Seven lbs. in 10 days is fabulous! You're off to a GREAT start! And, you're right #10 is the most important of all of those. I try to reitterate that one everytime someone tells me they don't have time to exercise. How can you take the time to have your insides re-routed, but you can't find an hour a day to exercise? It blows my mind. Keep up the good work.

Thank You that is a good one. That is a comparison I needed to hear and see. I have recently really kicked the exercise up because I am gaining like a mad women. What is so weird is that I eat right. I just wasn't getting near enough exercise. What exercise I did do was yoga and pilates. I really needed some major Cardio. Well I have re introduced myself to my treadmill. Thanks again---Toni
