There is still hope!

I decided to update my weight loss ticker and I realized I finally passed the 100 lbs plus amount of weight loss. I have been slowly losing more weight and hope that over the next 4 -6 months I can get to my self set goal,  anymore than that will be a bonus.  So any of you out there that are  not yet at your goals, DON"T give up you still can start to see your scale move downward too, just stay the course. This journey is a continuous learning process for us all. A careful balancing of what is coming in  and going out. Making the right choices, exercising and  keeping  ourselves motivated while learning not to dwell on  bad choices we might make. Use  those mistakes as an opportunity to learn more about ourselves and find new ways of coping so we can avoid doing the same thing again. If we really feel we need to have a "treat", plan for it, and have just a normal serving and only do that occasionally and go right back to our regular postop eating plan. When we stumble, we don't need to fall. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Congrats Sher! 100 pounds! Woohoo! I agree with you about the planning and the treats. I found that when I was inflexible, weight maintenance was easier but I was a very cranky and obsessed person. Of not particular importance, but your post gave me a warm fuzzy. I grew up in Griswold, CT and my dad repaired farm equipment in Colchester all the time. I'm pretty sure most of the farms are gone but it was a nice memory.... Keep up the good work and congrats on you century! Judi

Congratulations!!!! I agree with you~a stumble doesn't have to break us. We just need to get back on track and be happy with how far we've come. I think you will continue to do extremely well b/c you have a postive attitude and that plays such a huge part in our continued success!!!!!!!!!!!!
