Okay best estimate for your 1/2 recipe with 9 balls made is : 118 cals per ball 8 fat per ball 6 carbs per ball 8 protein per ball hope this helps...I really enjoy them, they are really very YUMMY, sometimes I think I actually might be "snacking" on the a little too much... Alesia

I am on what my surgeon refers to as Time Out - it's a program he's devised for those of us who have reached our goal or a permanent plateau and have started regaining.  I started it Sunday, so I am on day 6 of it.  I have the same thing everyday - just vary the protein flavor. 3 servings of Nectar 134 ounces of Crystal Light or other sugar free, non-carbonated beverages. This is a total of about 353 calories if you count the calories in the drinks. I will stay on this for two weeks and then check in with my surgeon  to see what is next. I have lost 7 pounds since Sunday so it's working great. Patty Butler

How does it feel to be an adult in time out ...Glad its working for you, kind of like going back to the beginning of the pouch, I remember, liquids for the first 2 weeks, then full liquids of week 3, then puree 4-6 and so on - only must be alot harder to do now because at least some appetite has probably returned. - kudos to you for making it work you are a strong person... Keep posting with us if it helps keep you on track, we'll be glad to follow along with you...I personally am eschewing simple carbs and "real" sugar until June 13th in prep for upcoming plastics and I know that has been challenging (some days more than others)... Surprisingly I haven't had any problems adhering to this.  I was afraid I would be starving but haven't been.  I don't know if it's the excitement of being on a good regimen again or if I just feel so much better because I'm giving my body nutrition instead of junk but whatever it is, I'm thankful. I never had the full liquids  and puree. Started on soft foods on day 12 when my staples were removed and by three weeks out, I was eating very well chewed grilled pork chops and had steak at 5 weeks - all with my doctor's blessings.  I never had problems with meat from the beginning. At six months, I had an endoscopy because I was suddenly nauseated and vomiting all the time.  They found a suture had worked it's way into the stoma area and food was hanging up on it and not passing into the intestines.  The doctor snipped the suture but unfortunately it opened the opening into the intestines and food goes straight into the intestines from the pouch.  It doesn't hang around so I don't have the feeling of fullness and that is a problem.  I didn't start regaining til a lot of stres**** my life - like major surgery, my apartment being robbed and my sister's apartment burning all in the same weekend.  That was the beginning and then it started going downhill from there. I am hoping that my struggles will keep someone else from following in my footsteps or at least stop them before it gets out of control. Thanks for your post. Patty

Wow Patty, You have been thru the mill  ...I'm glad things are finally smoothing you for you and it is great that you post to help others thru your learning experiences... As for the stages, its back to what you hear so much, every surgeon has a different plan - you follow what they say and have confidence it will work - for me as you could see my plan was different from your in the beginning...It is true when you feed your body better you feel better, I find this is working our true for me also, better energy levels and overall mental attitude since I cut out the simple carbs and simple sugars, this is a good thing ... Thanks again for joining us, keep coming back...Alesia
