Long term motivation

Wondering what keeps people motivated after that first magical year? I had lost motivation due to job and wedding stress.  Now that I am happily married, I seem to be back in the swing of things. My new motivation is to be under 200 in a year or so to make it easier to start a family. So... What's your motivation?

My long term motivation is to stay healthy, active and strong~I don't ever want to go back to where I was before so maybe its fear that motivates me! For short term motivation (like losing a few pounds if I go up into the higher 150's) I will use an upcoming event to keep me on track. So right now I have my mom's 60th surprise bday party to look forward to and I want to look and feel my best. This is helping me this week (and hopefully  next week too, LOL) to eat right and get plenty of exercise.

I have different types of motivation... 1) fear--I just take a look at old pictures! 2) vanity--I just take a look at new pictures! 3 )comfort--I do something simple that I couldn't do before, like get up off the floor 4) logic--I remember why I did this and what it has brought me I still struggle with eating snacks I shouldn't but I'm working on it.   Life is good! I firmly believe in support groups myself!
