Good Morning to Everyone - Yesterday my oldest son passed his drivers license test , he is so excited...He also had his awards banquet last night for the school work program that he participates in, it was at a local steak restaurant - overall I think I resisted temptation pretty well (lots of goodies to be had) but did succumb to a couple of the chocolate dipped strawberries - yes I know real sugar ( breaking the rules already  ) but, I'm not going to beat myself up over this, the program rules are still just guidelines of what I want to accomplish pre-surgery and I am really proud of how well I have been sticking to the program I set up for myself... B - 10 oz choc/banana/coffee protein frappachino S - south beach peanut butter protein bar L - 1/2 cup tuna salad with egg on top of 8 parmasan cheese crisps D - 2 1/2 oz ribeye with grilled onions       1/3 cup of fresh sauteed green beans, wax beans and baby carrots mixed       1/2 cup mixed green salad with ranch       1/3 cup mix fruit salad with grapes, strawberries, cantalope & honeydew melon       2 chocolate dipped strawberries S -  1/2 cup serving chocolate/kahlua egg custard PLUS - 76 oz water/crystal light & 20 oz hot tea with flavored creamer added in  Alesia

Ive decided to just drink my 2  16 oz latte's every morn, because when I try to cut back I end up drinking even more of them. its hard because I own my own machine from starbucks..... B- 2 16 oz sf fv nf latte's, 3 protien balls about hour later. S- none L- 1 protien ball and weigh****chers yogurt S-none D-6 fit and active turkey meatballs,and snacksize cottage cheese and snack size peaches S- 10 cheese it crackers and 6 animal cracker cookies also I had about 75 oz of water.. yippeeee I think I ate a little to much..Im going to go weigh friday at the dr, if I gained im gonna be so sad and I dont know, im trying harder to do better so I wont loose anymore, but I dont want to gain either.. well see..

Sheila, Let us know how the weigh in goes, I'm willing to put down $$$ that you will not have gained anything - your 1st postings you really weren't eating enough and your body was probably in starvation mode just burning up ketones ( eating your muscle) now that you are getting a bit more food and good protein content also, you should no longer be using up your muscle - I think this will translate into some good #'s at the docs... As for the latte machine from Starbucks ( I'm so jealous), when you get tired of it, let me know and I will drive to you to pick it up and take it off your hands , love those lattes Alesia

Yikes - congrats to your son - does it make you nervous?   I think you've been doing GREAT, Alesia, on your pre-surgery program!  Keep it up!! B - 1 c Cheerios w/2 T ground flaxseed, 1 c ff milk, banana S - 1 pack Lance pb on wh crackers, AchievONE L - wildberry Power Crunch bar, sf Jell-O cup, 1 pack whole grain O'Coco's, 5 sf Werthers S - 7 Triscuits w/32 g squirt cheese, AchievONE D - 3 oz salad w/1 oz lf sh Mexican cheese, 1/2 c corn, sf Jell-O cup w/ff Reddi-Wip, sf fudgie S - 1 c nsa vanilla ice cream w/1/6 slice of sf angel food cake, 1 c sliced strawberries and ff Reddi-Wip Instead of treading, I cleaned the house.  Plus I had 64 oz water, 16 oz half decaf coffee, 12 oz cf Diet Coke, 12 oz diet Ocean Spray cranberry juice, 16 oz sf hot cocoa w/ff Reddi-Wip.

Hey Connie, Thanks for the encouragement, I am feeling pretty good about myself and have really noticed that there is a difference in how I feel ( not so tired in the after lunch time frame, I think because I'm skipping the simple carbs)... My son has been taxi-ing me around for the last 12 months so at this point not really nervous about him passing the test, I know he drives pretty well and is cautious behind the wheel, plus the car is his, he's been saving for years to have money to buy one when he was old enough, since it belongs to him I think he is more conscious of taking care of it ...He drives to school every morning now and we switch seats when we get there...Looking forward to next year, both boys will be at the high school and can now ride together, so I will get to sleep in an extra hour and get up just in time to make sure they are rolling out the door to school on time...

I love the new power crunch bar flavors, aren't they great!

Okay good news and bad news: The good: I weighed this morning and I was 152.5. Hoped for less but I'll take it. The bad: I screwed up and snacked after dinner last night on 6 SF peppermint patties, not really bad calorie wise, just the fact that I wanted to keep up the no snacking after dinner. Trying again today. Yesterday: B-nuts L-lean cuisine, prunes S-smoothie D-pita pizza S-6 SF peppermint patties 80 oz water, 8 oz skim milk Candy

Sher, I really enjoy reading your food posts, you break it all down very well and seem to eat a very balanced diet, with plenty of content but good choices that add up to reasonable daily totals...You should be proud of your accomplishments, you are doing great !!  Alesia
