(Big Sigh!)
I'm on a book binge right now as I am 18 months out and working on learning how to maintain. I've bought two books you might look into as both deal with the head not the stomach.
The Beck Diet Solution: How to Train your Brain to Think Like a Thin Person
Winning After Losing
The first is by s cognitive behavioral therapist. This is a very successful therapy that addresses changing the way you think in order to change your actions. The second is by a woman who had wls. It also seems to be based on cognitive behavioral therapy.
I am a nerd, so I often turn to books for self-help, but you might prefer to find someone to work with you.
It is an never ending battle (and I too love food).
Good luck,

Trudi, I am sorry you feel depressed. I know just how you feel! I have an eating disorder. I have been obsessed with food since I was just a kid! I was never overweight until after having my two babies. I gained over 100 pounds and tried to lose it over 3 years. I finally turned to WLS. I am still to this day struggling. My surgery was 05/27/02 and I was 249 the day of the surgery. I got down to 119 and now I am 156. I think about food the minute I wake up. After breakfast, I think about lunch and so on. You are not alone. I don't know why I am addicted to food, but I am. I just started to pray and ask God to take it away. I know He will too if I just ask!
Anyhow, feel free to vent anytime. Lorri
