I'M requesting HELP!
Hi, my name is Melinda and I am a food addict. I had RNY surgery 2 yrs and 2 months ago and lost from 326 lbs to 145 lbs. I was doing really well working out 45 minutes a day, walking 2 miles and making good food choices. Then i had a surgery go wrong and almost died in December. I lost to 130 lbs and was malnurished. My protein level dropped to 2. For the first time ever I was encouraged to eat and HAD to be put on an appetite stimulant. Now I am again 145. I can't stop eating and it's the bad stuff i eat. I am not drinking the fluids, I am not eating healthy foods and i have not returned to working out. I know i need to leave the sweets and carbs, but again it is an addiction and i can't seem to STOP~! I need help..in the biggest wAY. I would love to get to 140 or even 135 and stay there. Maybe someone would be interested in investing a week or 2 on me and encouraging me to be accountable. Perhaps, I could email with someone who is willing to invest the tme to get me back on track. I ould appreciate it, I really need the help. Thanks, Melinda

Hi, Melinda ~
You sound like me ~ a sugar/white carb addict! The best thing I've found is www.radiantrecovery.com. It is a gentle, 7-step program to release us from our biochemical dependence on "the white stuff".... You may find it helpful.
Warmly,
Nancy
nancy--i visited that site- interesting concept- i think i could believe it!!!
question i would pose tho--as a wls post op -(3 yeras) i find that i function better on several small meals -more like 4-6 per day- well maybe not actually meals but 3 meals plus snacks? so how do we deal with teh 3 meals that are suggested- the potato could only count as 1 snack! sorry-probly not stating this correctly! do ya understand what i am trying to ask???
it has been a very long day!!!!
but i like the theory of radiantrecovery-makes sense!
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
