Accountability - What did you eat, Wednesday 5/2?
Looks like you had a great day Alesia. It's hard to fight back from the sweets. (I already gave in to the donuts they had at work this morning ) Anyways, I went to my monthly food making session last night. Now I've got a whole months worth of yummy new meals to eat. Here's what I had yesterday. B: 20oz sugar free vanilla nonfat latte S: South Beach Diet Breakfast Bar L: pizza chicken again - chicken, marinara, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese S: salad with lettuce, tomato, onion, blue cheese, croutons, dried cranberries, italian dressing (I didn't eat the whole thing because I bought the wrong kind of lettuce. It was an herb lettuce mix...The whole thing tasted like dill and was just yucky.) S: 24oz unsweetened passion fruit tea lemonade with 3 packets splenda (this are very good from starbucks..just have to remember to get them unsweetened otherwise they have tons of sugar and calories) D: Shrimp Ensalada from Baja Fresh with salsa verde dressing - it's just lettuce, pico de gallo, tortilla strips, a little cheese, and lots of grilled shrimp with the salsa verde to top it off...my absolute favorite thing there and only 250 calories...you cant go wrong Calories: 1282 Fat: 39 Carbs: 122 Protein: 116 --- Unusually high on the protein, I normally range around 80 to 90 Kerri
Anita, Well that carb thing is a loaded question, and I am not expert for sure...I have read and heard alot of different opinions on eating carbs when you are more than 1 year post-op...It seems to be accepted that if you have reached your goal it is okay to add in a few more simple and complex carbs the amount to add has alot to do with how much exercise you get (heavy weight training requires alot more carbs in your diet)...I know for myself, continued to avoid simple carbs for several months after reaching my goal, but found I needed to add some into my diet to level off my weight loss, worked with my Nut to figure out how many more to add in...As you may know I am currently working a program where I am once again avoiding simple carbs and simple sugars in prep for my plastic surg, we will see if this pushes me into a losing status again...I think I've read that 150 grams of carbs a day is considered optimum for a "normal" person to get what they need for good brain/body function (brain needs carbs to work right), now that I am tracking on Fitday I will have a better idea how many carbs I actually eat in a day but don't think I'm getting to 150 grams...
I do think you are making excellent food choices overall, have not noticed that you stray too much into the questionable foods ( usually can work in a few sf candies in a day, trying not to do that again after the plastics ) Alesia By the way red is a great hair color, I'm a redhead
