I take:
iron 29mg
2 flintstone (equate-walmart brand) chewable children's vitamin
1 B-12 daily
1 coromega (omega 3)

Don't take iron and calcium together, they will not allow full absorbption if taken together.

I break these into 5 groups. Iron & C alone, of course, then the othrs are broken into 4 groupings.
I do 4 meals, 4 sets of vites. So, very easy for me.
My doses are not what you would start with, of course, as mine are adjusted to fit my shiny new labs I just got last week. And I take other things that strike my fancy, but those are the basic needs we have.
When I work with fresh posties, I just send them the program that fits their surgery TO START and the labs to get every 3-6 months. Then, adjust to fit.
Some will need to leap righ to 50,000 IU of D right away and some will need a TON of iron til we match them to the right one.
I know, I make it sound so simple, but this is what I've been doing since time began.
First thing in morning: 2 prenatal vitamins
1 Vitron C
1 stool softener
Lunch: 2 calcium supplements
Supper: 1 more prenatal Vitamin
Then every third Saturday I do a self administered B12 shot. (Used to do just one a month, but would get tired and have no energy, so they changed it)
It is a pretty simple routine. It is what worked for me. My labs have all been great.

As the others have said your MD will give you the regimen they want followed. I no longer see my surgeon so this is what I came up with working with my PCP and a RD
AM
1- Centrum Adult Complete Chewable
1 scoop Upcal-D ( 500 mg)
500 mg B-12 sublingual
1 B complex
Afternoon
1 scoop Upcal-D ( 500 mg)
PM
1- Centrum adult Complete Chewable
1 scoop Upcal-D ( 500 mg)
I do not take tablets at all. I will take Capsules only when absolutely necesary. I even use a liquid medication for mr RA when necessary. I believe that our absorption is too compromised for those forms. This has been my regimen for the past 4 years when I was able to stop the iron( then I used tender iron) So far my labwork is always in the highest normal range.
but wish me luck, I am getting my spring labwork drawn this Friday :)
