r the protien bars really good?
I am not sure I understand your question. Are you making homemade protein bars with protein powder? Or are you wanting to but some protein bars?
My personal opinion on protein bars is that they have waaaayyy too much fat. Some of them also have too much sugar (more than 5 grams) and too many sugar alcohols. But I mainly gave them up because of the fat content.
I despise protein powders because to me they all taste like crap. Some people love them, though.
What I have every day is a ready-to-drink protein shake called "Micellar Milk". It has 40 grams of protein, 2 grams of fat and 4 grams of sugar per shake. The chocolate reminds of of yoo hoo. You can buy it at Vitamin Shoppe.
Jesus is so good to me; I couldn't ask for a better friend, protector, leader, savior!
Any of these are what I use:
1.) Champion ProScore 100 choco + 8 oz water + ice, blended (hand blender or Magic Bullet).
2.) Champion Pure Whey Stack choco + 6-8 oz water, shaken.
3.) IDS vanilla-cinnamon + "glop" of DaVinci sugar free caramel sauce + 8 oz water + ice, blended.
4.) the PWS chco + the van-cin (50/50) in about 10 oz ho****er, stirred or hand blender.
Lately I've been adding a shake of cinnamon to my hot ones since cinnamon fights belly fat.
I always put 1 scoop of UpCal D powder in (500mg calcium citrate, 250 IU of vit D3).
It is soooooooo much cheaper to use powder vs bars. A 30-g serving from a jug should cost right around $1/serving, give or take
I stumbled across some all natural protein bars -- Elev8me that I can only find online at prosnacks.com
The basic bars are only whey protein and fruit. Nothing extra. They are 170 calories and you get three pieces per bar so you can space them out across the day.
I love them.
