Thanks.  This is the best thing I've ever done for myself.  However, I do worry about weight gain.  Have you had any problem with this?  It doesn't sound like it.  I have been feeling very tired lately.  Do you have a vitamin regimen you use that you like?  I just ordered some Bariatric Advantage multivitamins along with the calcium and iron.  I hope this makes a difference. 

Linda,  You are not alone when it comes to worring about gaining back the weight.....in fact, I'd be safe in saying it's likely the number one "true" worry on everyones mind.  I know it is for me.  So far I haven't gained any weight back, but I never reached goal in the first place.  Because I never got really small like so many do, I didn't do the rebound weight gain.  I'm still in the obese catagory, but you know what.....I feel great, lost 85 pounds, and most folks think I look like I weigh much less than I do, and I'll buy that, so I'm a happy camper right now. One thing that has bothered me alot since my surgery is the lack of support for us once we have become graduates.  I live in a rual area and my support group is not close by, and many of the classes are in the evenings and not easy for me to attend.......so I and another grad that lives in my area have started a support group of our own, open to others 1 year out and more.  We meet once a month at a local coffee house and by word of mouth, our little group has started to grow.  Most of the others are like us.....too far away from their doctors and support groups and we are faced with these same issues. The only reason I'm mentioning this is, now is the time I feel we really need support.  Weight gain is a big concern for most and talking to others really helps.  I know the message boards are great, but a live contact person is great too.  It's good to get out and meet with others with same concerns.  It's an idea that is working for us. As for a vitaman regimen, I take Centrum chewables twice a day. They're orange flavored and not as sharp tasting as the Sponge Bob Square Pants I used to take.  I know that exercise would help me but I don't do enough of it, so I shouldn't complain. Sounds like you're doing very well and are very happy. Keep up the good work.  And I agree that meeting with other grads is a good idea.  Enjoy the coffee. 

Hi, Wendy (fellow southern Illinoisian!)-- Congrats on your 2-year anniversary!  I read through the other posts and your replies--sounds like you are doing great--happy with your weight loss and much improved life!  I have had about 20 lbs. gain and am not happy about that, but I am still in a good place!  I would like to re-lose at least 10 lbs.--think I could maintain that better than a lower weight--but all in all, I'm a happy lady!   I don't post often, but I do read the boards frequently and love to hear how the grads are doing! Thanks Jo,  Come on down to Olney........love to meet you!  We have a local support meeting, nothing too formal.  We meet the last Monday of every month at Ophelia's Cup on Whittle Ave. (downtown), it's our local coffee shop.  We are all Weight Loss Surgery Grads of at least 1 year out, all different doctors and different surgeries.  Our next meeting is 6:00pm on April 30th, come and go as you please. Thanks for the info.--I am printing it out.  I can't come this next Mon. night, but I may drive down sometime soon.  We had a very small group up here in Effingham that was meeting at the time of my surgery, but I don't think they are meeting at all anymore.  I could use some face-to-face! Jo
