Lisa, Sorry to hear about your ...I had a foamies episode about 3 weeks ago, haven't had one in ages and thought I must be over that stage at this late date post-op, it was totally unexpected and very unpleasant, definately wouldn't want to be doing this regularly again...Have you pinpointed what is causing the problem? dry food, eating to fast, not chewing enough?  I hope too, its better for you Tuesday...Funny how the next thing you thought about trying after getting sick was a comfort food (bite of chocolate chip cookie), thats what I did to, I think it was a piece of sf candy that soothed me - some food habits are hard to break and unfortunately food does still = comfort on my personal planet...

Nope I haven't pin pointed anything…LOL I don't think there is rim or reason to it. It can be something I eat all the time and just one time it happens….like eggs…that's basically an every morning thing. Sunday when it happened I had Barilla Plus Pasta with homemade sauce/and salad. I took 2 small bits of the spagetti and it wasn't movin….

Today it was the pork roast. I'm not sure what triggers it? I is rare that this happens to me. Most of the time I have NO problems eating…..

LOL I never thought about the bite of chocolate cookie that way….I wanted it to get the gross taste of my mouth…..maybe subconciously it was an old food habit?

Honestly, I rarely touch sweets….My old foods were pasta, rice, white bread….I love food…not so much sweets…but anyway….it was something for me to think about…LOL

Hugs,

Lisa

Hi Sheekalala,

Another pretty good food day for you , I know I must have asked this before - have you tried tracking protein, carbs and fat on fit day? might help you get a better mental picture of the content of your days

um. sometimes i use fitday. im not to worried about calories, just trying to get in my protien and Im so obsessed with gaining if I went to high on calories (in my opinion)  and saw it, i would feel  very bad about myself, then i might go without eating to make up for it. i have a small prob with food.I swear i was so big for so long i really dont want to get there again., but it helps me for u to tell me weather i need to work more or if ive done well. i really dont need to loose another lb, even though i would like to.sheila

Umm ok I am back on OH for accountability and to help jump start my weight loss again. I am at bouncing tween 171 and 174. OMG I want to break 170 ! lol I need to jump start my weight loss. I haven't been consistent with my vitamins, protein, and exercise. Just been busy and lazy. OK...today: Coffee with Splenda and Creamer 1/2 of Cinnamon Scone (yeah..my bad) For lunch: Cup of french onion soup and 1/2 Oriental Chicken Salad at Panera, Iced Tea, 2 bites of whole grain bread S: 2 slices swiss cheese Cup of coffee with splenda and creamer DInner: Bowl of Cheeseburger Soup Bottle Propel Snack: other half of scone Bottle of Propel handful of Hot Tamale Candies. *OH LORD I am addicted to those damned things* I am going to make a protein shake for myself here in a few, and have the rest of the calcium I should have taken earlier. Then when I go to bed I will take my C & Iron. I took all my other supplements earlier and gave myself my B12 shot. So its a start! Yeah the scone is bad...bluhhhh lol Its outta here now at least :D

Hi Kathie, I'm a redhead too (just thought you might like to know that)...Welcome to accountability, I hope it will help you get back on track and over the next hurdle (169.9) towards your goal...I'm glad to hear you are getting back to vitamins, they are vital to our continued health after the re-routing... Your food day seems pretty respectable, a few suggestions that might help getting on track - these worked for me when I was still actively trying to lose : 1.  What the caffeinnated drinks - you did not indicate the coffee or iced tea was decaf, caffeine is dehyrating and also can promote cravings, so less of it is better 2.  Avoid real sugar (anything using white sugar, corn syrup, cane syrup, etc) completely until you reach goal, because of instant absorbtion of refined sugar your body will not work to convert stored fat to create the sugar for your body from the existing fat stores - thus significantly affects ability to continue losing 3. Keep the refined carbs (white carbs) to a bare minimum, until I reached goal the only refined carbs I ate were 1/2 serving of hard pretzels with cheese for a snack once a day, still got in carbs from fruit and veggies... Don't know if any of this will help you, but these where a couple of the many suggestions my Nut made along the road of my weight loss - I think it helped get me to goal and I know that when I started working out my maintenance was when I started adding these back into my diet and I'm convinced that doing so was what finally worked for stopping the losing process...

Thanks for the reminders. I am going to be honest: can't give up my caffeine! But I will get back on track of drinking 2x the amount of caffeinated drink to water. Honestly when I have my caffeine I get the flavors that satisfy me, the sweet taste from the Splenda, and the caffeine kills cravings for me *speed metabolism etc.*. I have monitored it . My culprets are not doing my protein 3x a day as I should. Not planning my meals or snacks. And I need to get back to cutting out the carbs almost totally for 2 days off carbs, 1 day on with no whites but enough to shake it up. Consistency has never been my strong suit. I need to be less consistently inconsistent. Er..yeah that . And get my ass to the gym. And start walking again. 25 isn't that many pounds in reality. But it might as well be the moon for all the changes I am making because I am not doing anything to MAKE the changes happen.
