Can anyone recommend a good bra?
I went from a 52DDD to a 38DDD, so can totally realate. After trying on my own at least 5 or 6 times to find bras that fit, I finally went to a specialty shop and got fitted by a specialist. She was able to help me find a bra that has great support and helps contain the extra skin beside my breasts (under my arms). I kept trying to find cute, pretty bras at the regular stores, but they just weren't made for folks like me! Like you, I'm planning to have the girls lifted and the extra skin removed from my arms, but it'll be at least a year before that happens.
Also, now that I know what type and style of bra will contain "the girls," I'm planning to go back to the regular stores and look for some other bras that might work for me. The bras from the speciality shop were $45 each, which is lot to spend while I'm still losing. Anyway, good luck finding a bra that works for you and your girls!

Once your at your goal weight get yourself to a department store that will fit you for a bra. I know Nordstroms has a wonderful department. The bras are not cheap but well worth it. I spent $262 on 4 bras and I never felt so good! I had a boob lift and I wanted the best support possible. I NEVER WANT TO SAG AGAIN! After that trip I went to the thrift store and bought two pairs of jeans and 6 tops for $35.00!!! My daughter also had RNY and I told her once she reaches her goal our gift to her will be new bras. Good Luck Lauretta
I'm with Vivian on Victoria's Secret. I went from an overflowing 44DD to an underwhelming 36B and the Body by Victoria Full Coverage bra actually makes the girls stand up and look pretty again. After finding this bra (I went through the getting measured and then trying on every bra in the 'tray' ordeal) I decided I can put off a BL/BA for a couple of years (so I can save up instead of taking a loan).
Good Luck
I went to a specialty shop as well and they were amazing. It was great b/c I had no idea what size I was at this point. They helped me find one that worked and holds everything in! The trick (at least this worked for me) is to get one with a push up, shaped cup to give you form and get a cup size big enough to fit the extra skin. I used to be a small C--and the bras I just got are DD! yikes, that's how much extra skin I have. sigh.
I really like Victoria's Secret, Secret Embrace Angel push up bras. Very comfortable and look great! You can find them on ebay for cheaper.
Good luck!
