Hi everyone I am new here! I had my surgery in Oct 2004, and have lost 328 pounds. Needless to say I feel awsome most the time. However with summer coming up and the issues of shorts and tank tops :( come up i am getting more depressed.  This is my question, has anyone used like a firm cream that helps with the "look" of floppy arms? Or a spa treatment. I know that the answer would be to war a 3/4 shirt but i am still young and want to be cute. And staying cool would be nice too! :) Any ideas?

Well, first of all I'd like to say a BIG CONGRATS on the amazing WL!  That is just awesome!  I'm sure you have some serious skin issues, and I'm not sure there are any real treatments out there that will help.  I've only lost 110 pounds and nothing has helped me.  Are you going to consider plastics?   And hey... there's nothing that says 3/4 sleeves aren't cute.  They are actually in style these days.  I'm sure you'll find a suitable solution.  It's the lesser of two evils I suppose - and you are dealing with the good evil!  LOL  ;-)   Hang in there! Hi Congradulations on the HUGE weight loss.   What a inspiration you are to us all.   Have you considered wearing knee shorts or capris?????  They are very stylish and also do consider wearing the 3/4  sleeve shirts.   I don't really think that any firming creams will help tighten the skin.   I know that I have tried some of them on my face and they did nothing but take my money.  LOL   Wear tank tops with 3/4 sleeve button down shirts open.   That will make you look more stylish.   Anyway...you have to feel 100% better without the weight....who cares what people think.....I am sure that you feel fantastic. Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Unfortunately, there's not much that can done to "pretty up" that flabby skin on our upper arms.  Some folks have done strength training to build bigger, more toned biceps, triceps, and deltoids, which helps some.  It takes a few months to see a difference once you start to lift weights, but it may help improve the appearance of your arms.   Best of luck on your continuing journey -  Kellie

And also consider wearing whatever you want anyway, just don;t raise your arms!!  I'm 51, and I discovered Old navy for the first time this winter. Cute clothes, too young for me for the most part, but I found several things , including sleeveless, that I intend to wear. I've worn a couple and I care less what people think. The main thing is to be clean, well groomed with make-up on and your accessories like belts or earings and go for the look you like. You probably are more concious than other people will be of what you feel are your problem areas. Another is maybe to get your most honest, big mouth friend to shop with you and tell you the truth if something flys or not. Best of luck, and do not get discouraged , you're going to be great.
