Hey Guys and Chickies, Has been quite a while since I have been on.. Have been lurking up in the attic for a few days and don't see, hardly any one on here that I knew or remembered Just a quick note to let you all know that I am doing well, and I hit my goal. no not weight, although that is still doing well.. But We moved to Maine, and Mike bought me my horse, that I have waited for, forever..His Name is Goober, and he is my main man.. lol..He is 14 years old,, and for all you wondering, STOP Goobs is a Therapy Horse. He knows all his voice commands, and he is very loving sweet, and is quite the baby sitter.. AM back on all of my pills, plus a few more,, this winter took a lot out of me with temps minus 45 below,, we made it through though, and we are all still loving Maine... Well We also have another Horse coming in his name is Red Cloud, he is a Strawberry Roan, and hs a big white cloud on his rear.. he too is 14.. so Now I will havea riding partner, and Marianne is really starting to get into this... we are all excited.. And Yes I am the offiicial barn mucker.. the exercise is great, raking all that out.. and grooming him usees a lot of muscles I haven't used in such a long time...   Well know you all know we are still all alive and doing well, and up to our butts in road apples.. lol..Red Cloud will be delivered to us May 5th, for Marianne's 17th Birthday,, Petra said she would put a big ribbon on him for her, she is getting so excited, and I am thrilled to death, with her going on 17, and in a couple of years she wont' here no more... college will be getting in the way, and her BoyFriend is leaving for the Marianes next week... so Red will be her outlet while he is gone.. To all my OLD sisters,, please write me if you can would love to hear from you all.... Love and mIss you guys, Val

Jess you are looking great Sweetie.. I have been letting my hair grow in salt and pepper to be made into a wig for the cancer sociey, I sent my Dr some pictures of me and Goobs and he was so excited to see my weight where it is, and my goal of our mini farm have come through.. I chat a lot on Horse.com.. have found my riding buds, and are you ready for this... I am going on a 150 mile endurance run up here with Goobs, and Mike or Marianne not sure yet. but will be 200 or so of us on a 3 day camp out. and  we should clear 50 miles a day.. so am trying to build up as many muscles as I can get..Been back drinking my protein, and lots of protein to eat.. so was easy after getting Goobs go get back on trac, Dr, wasn't to concerned about the 20 lbs weight gain, after being stuck in the house all winter and no exercise, and is sure Goobs will help me relose that weight again.. Life is good, will be 4 years out in October, time has gone by so fast.. I couldn't imagine having this flair up, being 300 lbs again... I thank Dr. Lin Profusley for letting me live long enough to be able to hit my lifes goal..

Thank Jess you look great.. and posting my link on horses.com  because It is not a threat to this site, but is the reason I had this surgery to begin with, and on this link, I have some pictures postes on there I think you all enjoy, and am so excited about meeting my life Goals, thanks to Dr, Lin, and OH.. Now don't freak with the grey hair, you probably wont reconize me, but the hair will be cut July 4th and will be made into a wig for the American Cancer Society, then my hair goes back to dark red once again.. buyt you can at least get the idea, that my weight is good.. and I am just thrilled living up here in Maine.. Mike and Marianne love it up hee, she has made the honor roll again, Mike is stil looking for work... but I hope he dosn't find anything as I have finally gotten used to him being under foot, and am looking so forward to getting up at 4am with the sun blinding usm and get on the horses, and watch morning wake up... Well Anyways this is what OH has done for me... enjoy the pictures.. and remember reach for the stars you can always reach one or two... Val http://forum.horse.com/tm.asp?m=319863

Sherry, is so good to see you too, oh I bet the baby isn't a baby no more either.. they tend to grow so quickly.. I have been taking a lot of risks up here, and some times the black and blue marks look better then tatoo's.. But it is all good... I have a rule no riding on the road up here, because of the logging trucks.  well I hand walked Goobs up to the trail, and didn't see one rock to climb or a tree to climb to get my foot in the stirrups, my future son and law was with me.. OH yeah guys Marianne is engaged!!! Ok so back to the hunt, Jon and I found a summer cabin on the road, there was a wood pile on it, and I thought perfect, so I grab Goobs, and Jon had that look on his face, like oh Mom this is not good... Geeeeezzz I don't weigh 300 lbs anymore, I can do this,, so I climbed the wood pile and tryied to get Goobs close enough to it so I could just slip my shoe in his stirrup, and I knew I would be good, Well picture me on a log pile with one foot in the air reaching for the saddle horn and the other foot trying to make contact with the stirrup... I am so glad when people fall it happens fast.. I came down, laughing my butt off, Jon is running over Mom are you ok... I just gave him a real stupid look and said I will be, once you get Goobs hoof off my arm so I can getup.. well both of us were laughing so hard we were crying... next we spied, a hand made ladder, I let Jon climb it first to see if it was safe... lol... he didn't crash, so I figured If I could just make it up 2 steps I have it made.. Got it, and was on... Told Jon to send the posse out in half an hour if I wasn't home yet.. lol...  Oh Sherry what a great ride it was, Spring is finally here in Maine..  Marianne wants her first riding lesson today.. so that is what we will be doing this afternoon... You have a great day, and tell me what you have been up to, and after losing this weight are you more of a risk taker???????

Hi Val,  It is nice to see your face!   I am not around the boards much either.  Most of the old crowd is gone.  I am so envious of your move to Maine.  My mother lives in Skowhegan.  I keep looking for excuses to move there! LOL   .     Enjoy the horses.

Gina is so cool, we go to Skowhegan to buy our German Shepherds, We got a beautiful Dam named Chloie, and we are about ready in a couple of weeks to get her Mate Apollo, and we can start our German Shepherd Kennel..We will be up here for 2 years in June, and our mini farm is coming in great.. we are almost there with the kennel, and we have been working on the house as we go along, we have so much to do, but am excited about it all,, I don't have the energy I used to.. the Fibro and Lupus are back with a Vengance, but getting out there with Goobs, will help me build my muscles and strength back.. we still have a very little snow left on the ground, but is 52 out this morming, and looks to be a great day out...
