Diana, You have done an AMAZING job and you should be so proud of all of that you've accomplished!!!! You're correct in that fact that those of us that started out heavier will generally take longer to get to goal and/or never make it to "goal"~we start out with a HUGE disadvantage in many ways. But I agree with the above statement that You HAVE made it to goal~the goal of being HEALTHY!!!! That's what they really try to stress at our support group meetings~its not a number that you're trying to get to, but a healthy life! You're active, you exercise, you eat right and I'm sure you feel great! So, don't listen to the little voices hiding behind a computer screen and keyboard~they just don't get it! Love Ya!

No slamming here, Diana. You've done great. We should all be aware that this WLS journey is very different for everyone, and there are no guarantees where you're going to end up. Be proud that you've done so well. No one has the right to say "you should have done better" - WLS is not a guaranteed weight loss. I had a friend who had surgery around the same time as me, and she started out at over 330 lbs., I believe. I think she had some other health issues that interfered with her weight loss, and she was only able to lose 50 pounds. Naturally, she was devastated and heartbroken, but she honestly did everything she was supposed to do. Her body just would not release the weight.
Vent any time! That's why we're here.
