Hi Connie, Noticed you have alot of fruit in your daily eating program, does it help with your taste for something sweet?  I have fruit occasionally, but still am a little leery, guess I can't get away from all the Nut's lectures about the sugar in fruit slowing down weight loss - of course, I'm at my goal now, but some messages keep circling in the head and this is one of them...Would be curious to know about others who are longer term posties and how they incorporate fruit into their daily program, maybe I'll start a thread...I really like'd fruit pre-surgery and we have strawberries and blueberries coming into season here for public picking...

Hi, Alesia!  Well, my weight-loss has stopped and I've even put on 5-10 pounds (depending on the day).  It may be due to all the fruit I eat - I hadn't really thought about it.  I LOVE my fruit, though - and feel real deprived if I don't get it!!  My nut highly recommends it at least 3 times a day so who knows?!?  We're all told such different things!!  It can be frustrating at time, no?!?  LOL  Hugs, Connie

Hi Denise, I remember seeing your food postings in the past now...Are you a night shift worker, I think I notice that you always are havings a full meal at what I consider breakfast time, so I started thinking about it and decided that your day may be backwards from mine, am I right?  Thanks for joining in again today, did you enjoy your travelling?

No... I work days.  My doctor suggested that I eat the heaviest meal in the morning as a means of containing my calories.  It's a great thought in theory.  Doesn't hold water in application... my fault, not the doctor's! :)   I travel for my job and its a little hectic.  I am single parent of a teenager so juggling home and work responsibilities can be challenging while on travel. Hey... thanks again for this post.  It's most helpful! Have a great day!! Denise

Hi JoAnne, We are open one and all to post, so please join us if you see a benefit., I'd love to have your input..I started this post because I was reminded by someone on my surg month board of how well being accountable to others has worked for me in the past, in the 1st year post op we had an accountablity post going almost constantly, it helped keep me honest, on track and because others looked at it too - I was motivated to make better choices ( may be shallow to say I decided to eat better because others may be critical of my choices otherwise, but insecurity is one of the by-products of my obesity, so it helped that fear (maybe to strong a descriptive word) of critisism helped me keep myself on track)...I've tried keeping a food diary for my own sake once I reached goal, but really find I need to know that others are looking for me to keep up post to keep myself honest about everything that I put into my mouth and then posting it, in return I see the areas I need to work on, get suggestions and ideas from other peoples postings and affirmation that what I eat is not so far off the mark from most other grads as far as amounts consumed, slips of the path and struggling to stay on track...This is why I am here, as for the other posters , but I am grateful for their joining me... Once again, please join in, and see you in the accountability postings...
