I have not updated my profile in a long time.  I will commit to updating my progress on my profile.  My goal is to lose lose 30 of the 60 pounds I need to lose by my 2 year anniversary in November.  So far I have lost 3, my weigh in is on Saturday.  I will also list what foods I like and those I did not.  I like many of the foods so much that I will probably continue to supplement my diet with the meals after I reach maintenance.  Especially lunch and some dinner meals for the times when you just don't have time to prepare anything.  I read a book by a lady who lost almost 200 pounds on her own.  One thing she does is keeps an emergency food bag in her car with low fat, low calorie snacks that she can grab in a crunch.  She says she keeps it packed and grabs it whenever she leaves the house, especially when doing errands.  This kept her from grabbing the wrong foods while on the go.  Nutrisystem meals can keep well in your car or in your desk drawer at work since they do not require refrigeration.  Another benefit of following a low glycemic diet is that it is an anti-inflammatory diet for those who have joint pain or arthritis.  I have absolutely no cartilage in my right hip but I don't take any anti-inflammatory medicines.  I sought out natural cures when my hip joints froze up on me so bad that I could not get out of bed for almost a week.  I started out taking Bextra before it was taken off the market but quit after a week because it made me feel severely depressed.  I now follow a low glycemic diet, avoid dairy and take women essential oils each day.  I  will keep you posted.  Good luck to everyone and feel free to send me an email at any time.

Good luck to you in your efforts.  I've contemplated doing the same thing, but keep telling myself I know what I should be eating and that I can do it myself.  What I really need is to be locked away and have somebody put my allowed portion under the door whenever I'm supposed to eat it.  That way I don't have to think or go to the grocery store.  Ha!  life should be so easy!

Hi Sweetie!  No shame in doing what you gotta do.  WLS is a tool that can work very well in conjunction with other tools such Nutrisystem.  I do not do Nutrisystem or Jenny Craig because of the expense but I do Weigh****chers to help me get to goal, which is cheaper.  I know that I could not make Weigh****chers work when I was preop (trust me, I tried and tried) but now I can make Weigh****chers work since I now have my WLS tool to help me.  You can make Nutrisystem work for you as well because you have your WLS tool.  I'll be praying for you!  Hugs, Tracy
