Hi all I am scheduled for breast lift and tummy tuck on Tuesday the 17th.  It happened quickly once I got to a decent surgeon.  I am some what nervous but realy want the surgery. I will still need some surgery on my arms and legs since I have extra sagging skin in both places but will need to save some money for that.  So in the mean time I hope my expectations are not out of line with this.  I know I will not be perfect but it is hard to know what I will look loike afterwards. Any thoughts? Thanks  Madeline

Congrats on your upcoming surgery... I have a panniculectomy about a year ago in May and have been very happy overall with the results, did not have a TT so still have a little poochie skin on my upper belly but not something I can't live comfortably with, just go for the hip rider jeans so the waist on the pants doesn't sit right where it would accentuate my soft upper belly skin...It took a little time to get used to seeing my body without the panni hanging on...Still would not feel comfortable in a bikini but only because of the # of stretch marks I still have on my belly from all those extra pounds and baby stretch...Right now I'm looking into a BL/BA perhaps for sometime later this year...

Wishing you good luck for your surgery!  I had my breast lift & tummy tuck about 4 years ago - the surgery lasted 7 hours! I don't remember a thing! LOL You are going to be so thrilled with the results! Even though I have experienced some weight gain - the "girls" still look awesome and the tummy is still flat!  Just have to be careful of the "back clevage"!  I hope to get back to my goal - then I'm going to have my thighs done too!! I will be sending you positive thoughts on the 17th!  Let me know if I can answer any questions for you!  God bless!

Best Wishes to you, Madeline, as you get ready for your upcoming surgery.  Have you visited the Plastic Surgery forum here on OH?  I found excellent help there as I prepared for my tummy tuck last  September.  I had an extended abdominoplasty with muscle and hernia repair.  What type of incision will you have?  I would recommend that you take the pain medication on schedule, and be sure to have something on hand to treat constipation.  You might want to take a stool softener with every pain pill.  You will probably want to sleep in a recliner for a few nights.  I ended up needing the drains to be left in for four weeks, and they were what gave me the most trouble. Am I completely happy with the results.  No.  But I am mostly happy.  I will start consultations this fall for a breast lift and brachioplasty, and will discuss with the surgeon at that time if I have any revision to the tummy tuck.  I can't begin to explain how wonderful it feels to be freed of my panni.  Having been super morbidly obese my entire life, it is the first time I have ever felt normal.  I have a lap.  My normal sized friends can't understand what I mean when I say that, as they have never lived not being to rest something on their thighs and having it stay there, lol.  Take care of yourself and get prepared to go clothes shopping in a few weeks. Hi Thank you for your reponses.  I am not a regular poster as of late and it feels good to get support again.  It will be strange to have a normal looking body.  I was always over wieght, since childhood and never had a flat tummy or "perky breasts"  that may be why I can't imagine what to expect...since I never looked that way before. My daughter is coming over to take before pictures this week end.  after surgery I will post before and after. Before the WLS I didn't realy get the before/after thing even tho I looked at all of those that were posted.  Now when I see mine, It freaks me out to see how dramaic the change has been.  People who have not been over wieght may not realy understand how many ways this changes a life. Thanks again Madeline

Good luck with your surgery I am scheduled for the breast reduction/partial tummy tuck Monday myself.  In the same boat as you, just really do not know what to expect in terms of appearance but I'm doing this to remove the saggy skin which causes me alot of pain.  So my insurance company approved it.  It wasn't until a week or so ago that I started thinkin, wait a minute....what will I LOOK like afterwards?  lol  Anyways, as long as it helps it's worth it in the long run I figure:-)  Good luck and let us know when you can how it all goes:-) Carol j Albuquerque, NM

I browsed over here just checking out the boards and thought I would respond to this post.   I had a full tummy tuck,  breast lift with implants and lipo of the inner and outer thighs all done at one time about a year and a half ago.    I have to say that was the BEST surgery I have ever had (I havent had my wls yet) and I would do it all over again in a heart beat.     You will need some help at home after  your surgery because you will be sent home with some really good pain meds so be sure your all lined up for that.    But when you look in the mirror you willl be so happy with what you see.     I recommend it to anybody with extra baggage!!!!    Good luck and be sure to take those before and after pics.....u will be glad you did!!!
