It's FRIDAY, I'm on holiday and jeez it is chillllly outside, had to bring my winter coat to DC but that is not so bad, I bought it at the end of the season sale and have not have a chance to wear it in coastal carolina where I live and the warmer spring weather has already rolled in...When I'm on the road I don't feel like I really eat right, but the up side is that I always get extra liquids in cause I'm pretty much hitting the bottle the whole time I drive... Hi, Alesia!  It's cold here in SC, too!  And I've already packed away my winter things .  I keep forgetting to tell you - yay for you being below goal!  I was at my actual goal for about a minute and a half  - but I stay within 5-10 pounds of it so I'll be happy!  (I swear I will!!) B - whole wheat cinnamon bagle w/2 T light strawberry cream cheese, banana S - 2 packs pb Ritz Bitz, AchievONE L - apple w/2 T pb, sf Jell-O cup, 3 sf lemon cookies, 5 sf Werther's S - 1 c grapes, pack of WW pretzel thins, AchievONE Then, at 4, I had a rare afternoon low sugar "attack" and had a South Beach pb protein bar to come out of it . D - 3 oz salad w/1 oz shredded sharp lf cheese, sf Jell-O cup w/ff Reddi-Wip, sf fudgie S - 1 1/2 c sf vanilla ice cream w/1/4 c cashews Plus I had my 64 oz of water, 12 oz coffee, 19 oz green tea, 10 oz sf hot cocoa w/ff Reddi-Wip and 12 oz cf Diet Coke. Plus I walked for an hour on the tread. Have a great Easter!  We'll be having corned beef and cabbage (since we were in Italy on St. Patrick's Day and hubby really missed this!  ) and I made a sf pineapple lush angel food cake thingy and sf orange salad (since I don't eat meat anymore).  Plus I'm in the process of coloring eggs.  I thought I wouldn't have to do this since all the kids are grown and gone - but hubby's a big kid at heart!

Hugs,
Connie

Connie, Enjoy the corned beef and cabbage...Also think of all the protein goodies you could use those eggs for - egg salad, shrimp deviled eggs or for that matter regular deviled eggs, added to tuna salad, added on top of regular salad, just plan old hard boiled with salt and pepper - the possibilities are endless...

Hi Lisa, One of the things I really miss living in NC is having a salad bar in the grocery stores...Rural NC, every other corner has a down home cooking place with fried chicken, collards, mac-n-cheese, cabbage boiled with ham hocks and bacon grease, etc - but salad bars are alien life forms....Moved here CA where healthy eating is a state passtime, word has it my local gourmet grocery is remodeling and planning to put in the elusive salad bar , I've got my fingers crossed...

Don't laugh , I'm getting alot of requests for this stuff...Here's the recipe if you are interested: Been getting lots of requests, know alot of us struggle with this little stoppage issue...The only change I am going to try is to substitute chopped apple for the raisins, don't really like raisins in bread all that much and I e-mailed the original recipe poster and she said the apples should work fine...Enjoy, it is working great for me Rochester Poop Bread makes 16 small servings ( only one at a time recommended!) preheat oven to 350 In a medium bowl microwave for 2 minutes: 1& 1/2 c Kellogs All-Bran cereal 1& 1/2 c warm water add 2 T Steele's sf country maple syrup 1 tsp ground cinnamon dash of ground cloves In a separate large bowl mix together: 1/2 c white flour 1/2 c almond or hazelnut flour 2/3 c Natures sweet crystals ( too chewey with Splenda) 2 tsp baking soda 1/2 c raisins 1/2 c chopped pecans or walnuts dash salt Fold wet ingredients into dry and mix gently but thoroughly with wooden spoon. Spread in a well-sprayed pyrex loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. I slice mine into 16 servings (Suziannie). I (muma) cut the mini loaves in half and freeze them. blowingkisses.gif Per Serving: 107 Cal (29% from Fat, 7% from Protein, 64% from Carb); 2 g Protein; 4 g Tot Fat; 0 g Sat Fat; 1 g Mono Fat; 22 g Carb; 3 g Fiber; 4 g Sugar; 26 mg Calcium; 1 mg Iron; 174 mg Sodium; 0 mg Cholesterol NOTE: This is high in carbs, but there are 3 grams of fiber per serving, which would reduce the carbs to 19 grams per serving. Also, these are very healthy carbs (as far as I am concerned). I am still losing, and have no "bathroom" problems. Muma
