Pity Party over

Thanks to everyone who joined my pity party.  You all helped me tremendously.   My eye doc flipped out when I told him about the Mayo visit and their lack of information and treatment plan.  I'm seeing a retinal specialist here on the 18th. As far as the hypoglycemia goes, I had increased the Precose and it was controlling the lows pretty well.  However, the longer I'm on it, the crummier I feel.  So it's not gonna work.  My food choices have narrowed significantly.  I eat mostly eggs, cottage cheese, protein bars and shakes.  Not much variety.  Don't think I can live like this for very long.  I will have to make a decision before too long.  But after the wedding and vacation. Again, thanks for all the support!  You guys are great! Lyn

hey Lyn ... I was thinking about you last night but too tired to send an email.  Glad you're back ... I haven't noticed too much of a difference with the precose (except the cramping and gas) ... I'm still noticing some fairly quick drops, but it hasn't gotten as low as I have been.  What's weird is I still sometimes feel hypoglycemic even when my sugars are "ok".  They were talking about this on the Yahoo Grads list a little ... I have to go back and take a look at that conversation thread. Anyway ... I hope you're doing ok ... that's a drag that they couldn't help you more with the eye problems ... hopefully someone somewhere will have some answer for you. I'll talk to you soon ... Karyn

can you eat veggies? I have a great casserole base recipe that calls for eggs and cottage cheese and is so good. How about cheeses?
