AAAHHH...AAAAHHHHH!!!!
I usually hang out on the yahoo Grads list, been around forever. I'm almost 13, but there are ppl there over 20 yrs out!
Well, when I did that detox, I did do protein foods, salads, was on a speaking thing, so ate with the gang. But FRUIT! OMG! As far as I'm concernd, you can call it, "Fruit, the gateway drug", for me, anyway. Not a few apple slices, but fresh summer fruit in abundance? Oh yeah, bad news for me.
Our bodies read fructose the same as sucrose, so no difference.
So, I was doing still my 4 small meals/day, but like bacon/egg for bfast, no toast. Whatever meat or salad for lunch and dinner. 4th was usually a protein bar. But as many as 2 proteins back to back. There was a munchie machine right by the ice machine in my hotel there and every time I got ice (for said protein drinks), the munchie machine would whisper my name. While there's no way i was absorbing all that protein, at least I wasn't absorbing the munchie machine!
Can you email me privately for the labs list? it's easier to just send you the word doc.

Thanks, Michelle. I will email you privately for the labs list. I have been on the Yahoo Grads list, too, but am unable to access it from work, and that's where I do a lot of my "computer stuff." (shhhh...don't tell on me!) LOL Thanks also for the info on the eating regimen. I KNOW that the protein/veggie thing works and works well, but actually getting myself to the point of DOING it is what's holding me up. I think if I could really get there, I could lose some of this 25 that I've regained the past couple years.

I know that you don't want to go to your appointment, but that is why you need to go. The Centers need to understand what we are going through and if they only hear about the sunny days and blue skies then they can't help us. My weight has bounced as well; I bit the bullet and went to my appointment w/ my surgeon and the nutritionist. Yeah, I gained a few pounds but I felt a lot better after going to the appointments and talking to them. Your not alone! Best of luck to you.
