Hi Denise, Welcome aboard, I saw your previous post...I'm glad to hear you ordered some protein products, looking at Friday's food, you were definately light on protein from what I can see so it is great to hear you are getting back on the protein train...I order alot of product from Bariatric Eating and still do a minimum of one protein drink a day, sometimes two even though I am almost 2 years out, that way I can get some liquid on board and protein too... Protein balls are a really great portable protein, I always try to keep a batch in my fridge for grab and go, and when the snackies overwhelm me on weekends, posted the recipe in 3/29's What are you eating list because someone else there asked for the recipe, if you cannot find it there e-mail me again and I will send it to you... See you tomorrow, Alesia

Ahhh Connie, My Starbucks was out of the SF CDL for like 10 days a couple of weeks ago and I had to substitute with a combo of 3 shots sf hazelnut and 2 shots sf vanilla blended...Its strange, never cared for coffee presurgery, but like my taste for almost (not sweets that has not changed) everything else, now I'm just in love with the lattes and even just a regular decaf with flavored creamer...When I get the latte's if also where I tend to slip into that dreaded biscotti mode (LOL) you know the one... Anyway I hope you can get one soon, cause the know they are taastteee Looks like you had a pretty fine food day, look forward to hearing from you on Sunday with Saturday's food...

Hi Candy, Thanks for joining in...That chicken barley chili sounds really good, can you send/post the recipe?  I have a recipe where I take asparagus (like 5-6 spears, fresh) and wrap a slice of bacon around it and then roast it, my family loves it and so do I, bacon of course is not the best protein choice, but is still protein and I feel like it is okay to indulge in bacon occasionally...

I love this stuff! The recipe is on the back of the box, which I am out of at the moment so I don't have the recipe handy. I find it in the section of the grocery store with the rice, its called Quaker quick cooking pearl barley. Its really easy too! I never liked/tried barley until after surgery. Its kind of bland all by itself but its great in soups/stews. Very filling! When I get another box I can jot it down for you if you can't find it at the store. Candy P.S. For one cup serving its 270 calories and 32g protein

Thanks, I'll look for it, I love beef barley soup and have been eating forever (year's before surgery) so I know the stuff you mean, I'll definately check the box...
