I can understand where you are coming from and I am much older then you. You are young enough that I can really understand why this bothers you. I hate to look at myself with no clothes on and it has put a crimp in my intimate life with hubby. I am 53 years old and have been married for almost 38 years, but it still eats away at me.
Have you looked into the places that do in house financing. Maybe you could do that and pay for your surgery monthly. Just a thought.
Well sorry I can't help anymore but check into that option.
Take care and try not to let it stress you out to much, you don't want to lose your hair again over stress.
Good luck and Much love and Happiness to you.
Sincerely
Jodi (((((((((((((BIG HUG FOR YOU)))))))))))))
have you tried carecredit.com
they financed 6000.00 of my requested 8500.00 for my breast lift with implant.

I totally understand your sentiment of feeling good with clothes on but hating the way you look without them. I think many of us go through that because that hanging or loose skin is just not cute. Our expectations of ourselves change after we lose a lot of weight and now we want it all. I think that's natural. But sometimes we are not able to take the next step to plastic surgery right away. Sometimes you have to plan more realistically and not think of EVERYTHING you'd want to change, but the first and most important thing you want to change and then try to save up, borrow, get financing through the agencies that help with surgical financing. Also, your mental state should be in the right place before you have ANY kind of surgery. If you are convinced that you will not be "ok" until you have plastic surgery, that is not healthy, lady! You are great the way you are and should be proud of yourself for making it down to 140 lbs. It is probably a far cry from where you were! Do not allow a desire for perfection send you into a depression. You are a beautiful person and accept yourself as you are FIRST! Then breathe deeply and if you really want PS, then take it one small step at a time, set a manageable goal in a reasonable time period, and do what you need to do to acheive it. Will it be difficult? Maybe. But if it's what you want, you have to be smart and determined about how you make it happen. Good luck to you.
Look on the PS board. I read a post yesterday about ps in Brazil and it sounded like similar items to yours for only $10,000 + expenses. I know it is a little scary and you really should do your homework about it, but I think it might be a viable alternative. I know that if I have to self-pay, I might consider it!! Seems like lots of people go this route. Read back over many pages on the ps forum and you should find lots of info.

"Weight loss surgery is about making better choices, a healthier lifestyle, and seeing how little you can eat. Portion control is the key to all weight loss operations. Bottom line-- it isn't how much you can eat -- it is how little you can eat." ~ Dr. Terry Simpson
I just had a breast reduction and an arm lift after losing over 200 lbs. Insurance paid for the reduction but not the arms. Now just a month out, I'm not all that pleased with the results. The surgeon took off more of the breast than expected and less of the arms. And the point of this is: I had to come to a place of acceptance. I'm not about to get implants, so there isn't much I can do about increasing the breast size. I'm not willing to have a second arm surgery. All the options aren't attractive to me--fighting with the doctor, additional surgeries, being depressed, etc. So I focus on finding contentment for where I am right now. I don't look like I want--but I look great in comparison. I am healthy, able to do more, can enjoy traveling, etc. I know we can look pretty scary nude, but that is the nature of the beast--so to speak. This may not be all that comforting, but really, finding a place of satisfaction with who you are--with the excess skin--can make for a much better life. We are so much more than our appearance.
You might want to find a therapist who can help you through this tough time.
Best wishes,
Sally
