First let me say don't give up. I too am post op almost 3 yrs (august 04) and I have gained weight. I on the other hand know that I was not eating properly. Your weight will come off. Not as quickly but it will come off. Start by slowly chewing again. I myself found that I have gotten back to my "quick life" and don't sit down the way that I did in the begining and chew chew chew my food. You will probably find you get fuller faster that way. Remember it takes a while for your stomach to know it's full so chew your food like crazy and eat slowly. Cut pasta, bread, sugar out as much as  possible. One of my downfalls personally. I was down to 126 and had worked my way back up recently to 161.5. Yes I cringed. I'm struggling to come back downt to a goal weight of 135. So far I'm down to 154. The advice I can give you is stay the course. Don't give up. Don't get on the scale every day you will make yourself nutty if you are on a plateau right now. Easier said than done I know. I found the best way to check your weight is first thing in the morning before you get dressed ate or drank anything. Support is always an email away. Stay the course don't get frustrated. It will come off but our honey moon period is gone and it is hard to understand why we can't drop 10 ls in 2 weeks like before. Good luck and hang in there!  Diane

Hi all,   I had my surgery 7 years ago and over the last 2-3 years have been putting on the weight too.  Lifestyle changes and grazing all day have done me in.     Just today I got an email from Obesity Help.com saying happy anniversary!,,, so Karma, Fate or Divine Intervention.. whatever it is, has made me wake up and come back to the website and look at all the successful people that can inspire me to get back on the program.   You ALL are an inspiration - that you reach out to each other with such wonderful words of encouragement is a blessing to each of us.   I will go dust off my protein shakes and get back on program TODAY!!   Thanks all for being there!
