Disappearing Grads?

Hi Dx, I've been off myself for ~ 15 months dealing with a new journey, breast cancer mets to bone and lungs.  The first thing I noticed that our previous Feb 2004 forum which had been so active and supportive seems to have almost fizzled out.  We were like extended family since we were all going through the same struggles and accomplishments around the same time.  It was great for the psyche. It was about the time I left for a bit that the grads board started.  It was perfect timing as I was ready to start maintenance and needed people with more expertise to help with their thoughts. I too miss the old timers greatly. 2004 was a great year of discovery and support.  It makes me sad to think the "oldsters" are gone - either by choice or "chance". Just my 2 cents.  Thanks for the stimulating post. Paula     299/123     @5'3"

Not everyone. Just those with ugly girlfriends and stuffed animal fetishes. kp

I am actually sorta around. I did close my profile to all but friends for personal reasons. I also choose not to come to OH very often anymore, also for personal (but more like sheer anger taking over) reasons. I miss everyone but I have to do what's in my best interest. I found a new place. A place where I can be me and actually express an intelligent thought without being "put to pasture". The ill treatment of some of the grads has been appalling. We were not wanted, so we left. We have a new home and like it there very much. We are the cream of the crop and those who find us, wouldn't find a better bunch of "old farts" to help them when they need "real" support.  We don't coddle, we don't whine and we certainly are not looking for attention.  Hmmm....Follow the green ogre and ye shall find us...

Usta needs to get out from in front of the television more often. I'm like a mole on Marilyn Monroe's face, just happy to be here.  /tongue in cheek off I thought I was also one of those that was caught up in a 'glitch' but apparently my profile was here all along!  I must admit I am now rather sad I emailed all those people asking about it.
