Okay so I have been losing so slow the last six months and everyone says it will get even slower at the one yr mark?  Well If that is the case I will stop as I am losing really slow. I am hoping as spring arrives and more activity kicks in I will start losing again. I can only hope. Anyway,  What is everyone eating?  And are you maintaining or still trying to lose?   Here is my menu so far today. breakfast----salmon pattie 5 oz.  made with egg and oatmeal. lunch----  2T cole slaw--made with equal                   2T fruit salad---made with yogurt\                    2 slices  pickleloaf lunch meat Dinner----1/2 salmon pattie                   1/2 cup stir fry snack----2 cups popcorn

Well, you don't seem to be eating enough.  What is your calorie/protein count?  Are you drinking enough water?  If you don't get enough calories, your body goes into starvation mode.  Since we're over a year out now, we should be eating at LEAST 1200-1400 calories a day now.   Compared to you, I'm eating like a horse! prebreakfast: 2 EAS coffee protein drinks breakfast: 1 oz protein rounds cereal and 100 g(about 3.5 oz) fresh grapes snack: protein bar & 6 oz yogurt lunch: south beach diet grilled chicken cesar wraps & .5 oz raisins snack: protein bar & 6 oz yogurt dinner: smart ones (weigh****chers) roast beef dinner (ate about 3/4 of it) snack: eas protein drink and (omg! dare I say it!) 1/2 cup no sugar added butter pecan ice cream I'm in maintain mode.

Thank you Terry for responding. I am having such a hard time with this. Seems to me as if one day I am eating like a horse then I cant get enough in. I try to stick to the two serves of each food group and protein as much as possible, But I have been stuck in weight for months going up and down the same five or so pds. I have tried to schedule an appointment with my nut but we cant seem to get our schedules together.  I have been  walking more and talk to the hospital gym and I can join for 25 a month. I think I am going to join next week.  I try not to eat over 1000 calories a day but some day go over I know.

1000 calories  day is not enough for over a year out.  Do me a favor and humor me a bit here.  Try this for just a few weeks and see if it helps.  TRACK all your calories, protein, and water every day.  I want you to eat at least 1200 calories a day.  Get your protein to at least 90 and drink at least 64 oz of water.  I use a site called sparkpeople.com.  It has more foods in the database than fitday.com.  I want you to try mixing it up a little.  Eat the 1200 calories for 3 days, then bump it up to 1400 for 2 days, then go back to 1200 for 3 days. Keep  track of EVERYTHING you eat.  I even log in when I have a few raisins when I pass through the kitchen.   Join that gym!  Exercise will make a huge difference in how you feel in general.  Also, email me if you ever want to chat off oh.  I would be glad to help.  My email is [email protected]

HELLLLOOOO FEBRUARY 2006ers [and Melanie!]!

Yesterday, at the support meeting I went to, a woman asked me what I 'normally' ate and I couldn't even answer her, I thought, what ever is in front of me at the time I want to eat.  LOL probably not the greatest plan.  I do FitDay, my constants are my protein shake 1 scoop in 32 ounces of water 2-3x a day.  My protein is always around 100g or more.  My water is never less than 64 ounces but usually over 90.  I try to keep my calories below 2000, even better if I was around 1500, but I'm still working on that.

I try to make the best choices out of what is in front of me.  Really, though, I eat what is available.  Yesterday, I had a shake for breakfast, an Atkins bar in the car for lunch, a few bites of tuna casserole when I got home from running around, another shake, grilled chicken on a tossed salad with feta cheese w/olive oil and vinegar for dinner, a few bites of my daughter's french fries, 25 ounces of water with lemon, and then as an evening snack I had a few hard pretzels with hot salsa.  It wasn't what I'd call a 'good' day, but not the worst either.

I am trying [supposed to be] to lose another 10 pounds before my hernia repair/TT.  The past two weeks have been stressful and I've been grazing a lot, last week I was off on my water and protein choices.  This week I feel like I am getting that part back on track and slowly working to get the bad snacking to stop.

Like Terri said, maybe you are eating too little and you need to bump it up a bit?  Or maybe you are grazing and not really thinking about those bites towards your calorie intake? [that's what was happening to me].  Are you getting your water in?
