Thank you for your support.

I have contacted the media but have yet to hear back from them. Unfortunately, even things like this take time. We are not trying to put a negative light on the hospital or her situation, we are just trying to get her story out there.  You can follow Julie's journey on the Alabama Board. (She is like a sister to many of us). I frequently forget to post to all the boards but I'll try to remember to post updates.  At present, we are about 1/3 of the way to the goal.  Gina

Most hospitals have charity care for those who need medical care and really cannot pay.  Has that been explored?  And I agree with the other poster that if her situation is that desperate, the hospital has to admit her and treat her.

Yes, that has been explored. She can only apply for assistance AFTER she has a hospital bill. I posted a clarification (last night) to why she cannot be admitted without the money. Hopefully, it explains things a little better. Gina
