OT: VT,NH,ME Vacation
Calling all fellow OH brothers and sisters from New England! We are vacationing in that area the end of April, first of May. Any DON'T miss things we should see? Any great places to eat? Fresh seafood is on the agenda. Would also like to see lighthouses. We are staying in the Bartlett NH area for a week and then in Manchester for 4 days. Any and all suggestions welcome!

There is a great place to eat in North Woodstock, NH (I pretty sure that is the name of the town). The restaurant is called Common Man. We stay in the White Mountains region alot when we go north and that is always one of the stops we make....there is another one that is in Meridith, NH too. Enjoy....I love New England.

Hi from NH! I second the White Mountains region. A don't miss for me is hiking the flume gorge. It's beautiful. I'm not sure when it opens but would think that it would be open by late April. That whole area is beautiful.
Enjoy!

I lived in the foothills of the white mountains in until I was almost 30.......may I suggest heading up toward the Tamworth/Conway area, seeing the Kancamagus Hiway ( not just a Hiway) http://www.byways.org/explore/byways/2458/ and maybe a tour through the "Castle in the Clouds" http://www.castleintheclouds.org/ if you like to Hike, but dont want to hike all day long, just a good 3 hour total hike, I would suggest Mt. Major ......http://www.localhikes.com/Hikes/MtMajor_0000.asp
Let me know if I can help some more! Lighthouses I never saw but in Maine. You need to drive a ways from Manchester to get into the mountains, but worth the trip.
