I just feel awful!!  And I know I should be happy. at least I can buy something besides those big strech pants I went shopping this week in a large town where my aunt lives. She took me shopping for clothes. She said it was time. I wanted to wait awhile but she said we could do it again later.  But instead of making me feel good it just made me feel awful.  Nothing fits right. If I buy 16 that fit. I have a huge tire roll of skin that hangs out. If I buy 18's they are so baggy in the butt and legs that they look like a garabage bag and the skin just spreads something awful that I still look so big in the thighs and legs And whats the deal with all these clothes being so strechy that they just spread. We went to fashion bug. Am I shopping in the wrong store. I know they are for plus size isnt 16 and 18 still plus size.  I need something tight to hold all the skin in.  We went bra shopping and that was awful.  Went to sears to be sized and that was a joke. They lady didnt even measure she just kept bringing me different sized bras to try. And she had no clue what to do about the skin thing. 50 dollars for two bras.  To get all the skin to stay in the bra. I had to get a size D when I am only a b probable. Now my bra has wrinkles in it instead of laying smooth. Now she spent a lot of money and I feel awful that nothing fits right.  I went to walmart today and bought a cupid thingy thinging it might hold some skin in. I havent got up the nerve to go try it on.  How do you find clothes to fit right. I just hate this.  hate it.  I have two pairs of pants on my dresser and I just look awful in both. I feel like a little kid that is never happy.

Come on, put your smily face on and go shop for some some girdles.  i have pretty good luck ordering from Penney's catalog.  i wear the back brace thing that snaps in the crouch.  You have to wear a bra separately.  It covers up some of the bulges in the back between the bra and waist.  I also wear the long leg things that go down before the knees. If you have never worn these before, you may think odd.  But lots of us wls people wear compression garments.  They make us feel better--giving us support and we look better and feel better about ourselves.  i am almost addicted to them.  Good luck:)

Actually, yes, that is the wrong place for you right now.  Try Catherine's, it is owned by the same company, but the cuts are better.  They have jeans that are great.  Yes, they have elastic, but it is in the sites only.  I wore them until I was too small for them.  THey go down to a 14. Now I shop at Walmart, their Rider jeans are a good fit now.  So try that.  Hope this helps.

Marie; I find that the cuts at some of the lower end stores are just bad. Bad cut = bad fit = not feeling good in your clothes. My rule while I was losing was I had to stay at less than $30/outfit for work. Coldwater Creek has a great online outlet. Their clothes are cut extremely well, always hang nicely, good quality fabrics, last forever and look nice on. I was always able to find enough variety on there that fit within my $30/outfit budget. With regard to the bras, I'm not sure where you live, but if you've got a Dillard's, they do a great job with fitting bras. My mom had her breast reduction late last summer and once the swelling went down, that's where she went to be fitted. Try any of the higher-end department stores. And remember, just because you get fitted there, doesn't mean you have to buy anything. But, a proper fitting bra should not have any wrinkles. On the skin, start doing some weight bearing exercise. Building muscle beneath the skin will help take care of some of the loose skin. It probably won't solve all of your issues, but it will help you feel more confident in your clothes. Good luck!

I found it difficult to find jeans that fit well in the begining.  I ended up at walmart and getting their store brand jeans with the just the below the waist jean fit.  I thought it would look worse than the higher waisted jeans but they didn't.  I wore these at a size 16-18.  As I lost more wieght I had to find better fitting jeans.  I found that I liked the fit of the Levis 505 jeans and the Old Navy again just below the waist jeans.  jears are hard to ind that fits well.  Just keep on trying to find ones that fit well.  Don't settle on things that don't make you happy or feel good.  As for the bra sizing I would go to a specilaity shop for a fitting.  If you bra is not laying flat and you sit have alot of extra skin hanging over you are not wearing the correct size.  I like to shop at kohl's due to they always have sales and their prices are faily reasonable.  The clothing expensive was something I was not ready for.  I have gone done 11 pant sizes in 16 months.  Best of luck and things should get easier for you.

Don't beat yourself up over not being happy.  We all just want to look good in our clothes.  What has really helped me is having great undergarments.  I wear both a girdle and a cammie that hold in my extra skin.  I get them at macy's, for about $30.00 a piece, and they work great.  I usually get the Flexees brand.  They make me feel more comfortable, especially in t-shirts.  Also, ask a clerk to measure you for a bra.....it makes all the difference in the world.  When I last shopped for jeans, I asked the clerk to help me find them for my body....I ended up with 2 great pairs.   If you go durning the week when they aren't busy, it's easier to find a clerk to help you.  They are paid to do this and are usually quite happy to help.  Good luck to you, Susan
