Have you heard about it?!  It is shaping up to be quite an event!  Our first annual Cruise to Lose is scheduled for September 30, 2007 on Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas, sailing from Port Canaveral to the Eastern Caribbean for a week of fun in the sun!

Joining us is the Morton Plant Bariatric Team including three surgeons (with Cleveland Clinic fellowships in bariatric surgery), a bariatric coordinator, a nurse practitioner, and a nutritionist.  This superior bariatric team will be conducting information seminars and support group meetings throughout the cruise.

We’ve already had a huge response – bigger than we expected, and while there is still availability, space is quite limited in the “Promenade” category as well as the “Balcony” category – we’re well on our way to a sell-out!

Come and meet your fellow OH’ers and WLS friends, and join us for this informative, interactive and FUN event!!  You can reserve your cabin with a $250 per person ($500 per cabin) deposit, due by April 15th.  This event is open to EVERYONE whether you are pre-op, post-op lap bander, RNYer, “just looking”, family member or friend.  Those who have had other types of surgery are also welcome and encouraged to come along to share your experiences with us!

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to network, encourage, and learn!  Remember – we shouldn’t live around our WLS…rather, we HAD our WLS to LIVE!!

If you would like pricing and more information, please PM me with your email address, and I will forward our information brochure to you!

Hope to see you all onboard!

I just got back from a 10 day cruise but I'll throw in my 2 cents worth. I've cruised Mariner of the Seas and it is a beautiful huge ship! The casino was good to me - as well as the wine tastings...the chocolate tastings and the service! The promenade and balcony categories are both good choices. I had a balcony suite and it served me well. Have fun. Royal Carribean is a great cruise line!

Hey there!  Thanks for the input and review!  Glad to hear you enjoyed Mariner.  She is a beauty, for sure, and you're right - every time I have sailed this particular ship, I've found the service to be superior.  It's one of the reasons we chose Mariner for our Cruise to Lose!   I don't remember a chocolate tasting when I sailed, but I did participate in the wine tasting session.  I was amazed by all of the choices in food available from a post-op's perspective as well.  They even have a regular "sugar free" station in the buffet area AND sugar free dessert options in the dining room!  Whether I ordered room service for breakfast (typically a fruit and cheese plate, or an egg, or even smoked salmon and cream cheese), went through the buffet stations (always found fresh and grilled chicken, fish and beef - lots of cheese, fruit, and high protein items), or ate in the formal dining room (high protein, low carb, low fat menu choices in every course offering, each and every night!), I never EVER had to worry about eating well!   One of the reasons we decided to do this Cruise to Lose is so that we all have the opportunity to realize that we can still take vacations "normally", and can feel satisfied and satiated with selections that are offerred.  I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I for one do not live FOR my WLS surgery, but I HAD the surgery to LIVE!  LOL, and "LIVE" I certainly do - to the fullest! Thanks again for your input.  C'mon and join in the fun and sail with us!!   ~ Terri
