Yes I'm also able to eat more and bad habits are hard to shake. I've been stable for 1 year 128-=130 but now I'm at 135 and never get back to 128. I'm scared it will slowly come back. Tonight I made protein shakes(first time in a year). My plan is to increase my protein and decrease my carbs since they have gotten out of contreol. I'm exercising Spinning class abd Yoga. In the past my bad knees or to busy sehedule have interfered with this however I'm determined to fine a way to exercise 3 times a week. I would love to hear back from you and maybe we can find a way to stablize out weight. Hugs Dollie-girl
Hi Ladies!!!
Okay - Deep Breath....... now RELAX!! And try not to panic........
First off, the fact that you both recognize old habits creeping back into your daily lifestyle is half the battle! It's when we don't see what is right in front of us that we tend to really lose focus on the big picture.
Going back to basics can be as simple as you make it. Think back to when you were first pre-op: You probably documented every ounce of protein you ate, you were aware of your water intake and your vitamins and calcium and B12s; you were conscious of your exercise levels; you may (or may not) have logged every morsel of food you put in your mouth.... these are all the basics we each started out with immediately following surgery. Getting back to these basics simply requires being conscious of what you are doing on a daily basis.
You can do this!!
It just means that you need to take a little more time with your grocery shopping and your meal planning - making healthy choices in both areas will ensure you success; it also means that you must make time for some form of consistent exercise. You don't necessarily have to carve hours out of your day to get to a gym - just make a conscious effort to MOVE and be more ACTIVE. You can up your routine as time allows. Keep tha****er bottle in your hand ALL THE TIME - make it an appendage if you have to, but sip, sip, sip throughout the day and you will get that required fluid that you need! Make it a point to get those vitamins in every day!
A week or two of this consistent routine and you WILL notice a difference in how you feel, how your clothes fit and perhaps the scale.
Good luck!!
Hugs!
Kristi
