1. Name - Doug 2. Surgery type - open RNY 3. Surgery date 11-16-05 4. 15 mo. post-op 5. Highest weight - Ugh! I probably touched 400 a few times 6. 382 7. Goal - 180# 8. Current weight 183#, 6' 0" tall 9. Lowest weight - 178# 10. Biggest struggle is to maintain a more constant weight, I'm either gaining or losing, still trying to find a happy medium, between diet and exercise.

1.  First name or name you go by on the boards - Lara or Larakatya 2.  Surgery type - Lap RNY 3.  Surgery date - 4-1-04 4.  How far post-op - getting close to 3 years now. . .feels like 1 million years ago, or yesterday. 5.  Highest weight - Unknown - best guess is somewhere between 450 and 425. 6.  Day of sugery weight - 355 - I managed to lose quite a bit of weight before my surgery - it was easy once I realized "reinforcements" would be coming soon 7.  Goal weight - First goal weight was 260, then I chose 220, then 212, then 198 8.  Current weight - 214 9.  Low weight post-op if different than current weight - 184 (it was SCARY looking, keep in mind I'm 6'3" tall. . .so seeing me at this weight scared the crap out of people.  My dad and wife were getting afraid for my life.  10.  Biggest struggle as a post-op - My personal biggest struggle is learning how to adapt my exercising to my new disability.  Thanks, ~Lara:fairy:

1.  First name or name you go by on the boards: Bethany 2.  Surgery type: lap RNY 3.  Surgery date: 13 March 2004 4.  How far post-op: almost 3 years 5.  Highest weight: 424 6.  Day of sugery weight:367 7.  Goal weight: 145-150..I'm gonna get there eventually 8.  Current weight: 185 9.  Low weight post-op if different than current weight:172 10.  Biggest struggle as a post-op:  DISCIPLINE!  I still have to struggle not to revert back to the "old" me.

1.  First name or name you go by on the boards Hope 2.  Surgery type Lap Band 3.  Surgery date 05/20/2005 4.  How far post-op 18 + months 5.  Highest weight 282 (?+) 6.  Day of sugery weight 272 7.  Goal weight 160 8.  Current weight 178 9.  Low weight post-op if different than current weight same 10.  Biggest struggle as a post-op Band blockage last month, couldn't keep even liquids down while traveling for 3 days. It put me in the hospital with dehydration, and Doc had to take all my fluid out. No idea what caused the blockage, could have been a combination of un-digested cheese and too much fluid in the band. Best to be more careful from now on. :) Hope

1.  First name or name you go by on the boards - Melissa 2.  Surgery type - Lap Rny 3.  Surgery date - Jan 15, 2004 4.  How far post-op  - 3 years 5.  Highest weight- 277 6.  Day of sugery weight - 277 7.  Goal weight - Surgeons 145; mine 136 8.  Current weight - 136 to 142 depending on the day 9.  Low weight post-op if different than current weight - Got down to 136 & stayed there for a year; gall bladder problems made me sick and I dropped to 129 but once had gall bladder removed I was able to get my weight back up 10.  Biggest struggle as a post-op - I do great during the day at work.  My problem is grazing in the evenings when everyone in the family seems to be eating something.  I have to be careful not to let my binge eating creep up either.  I go to therapy when needed in order to keep things in check.

I think my biggest struggle is not knowing whether physical ailments are surgery related or something to worry about.  I also miss being able to eat certain things, like my son's birthday cake, a diet coke on a hot day, red meat.....
