Is there anyone out there who has regained 40-50 pounds or more and then was able to lose it again?  I'd love to hear from that person. I am 3 years out and struggling.  I'd feel so much better if I could hear from a person who has managed to turn the regaining situation around. If you were able to do this--please let me know all about it!  Thanks!

I had my last child Nov. 2004 I was a little over a year out and had lost about 115 lbs. After the birth of my daughter (I was 36yrs old) I gained almost all my weight back! I am now back to losing. Last year I lost over 100 lbs, and it is still going off daily! I thank the Lord everyday for this tool. It is a lifelong struggle for me but I am so much happier with the way I look.  Looking into the getting pregnant thing, the surgery did not hurt the baby at all. My labs were always great, diabetes stayed away, and the baby came out perfectly healthy. I know the reason for the weight gain was from the pregnancy, as I seem to gain weight after each of my 4 daughters. Don't know why really. Plus, when I quit smoking 5 years ago I gained approx 80lbs. anyone worried about getting pregnant after the surgery should not. Just give you body as much time as you can to recover from the WLS before if you can. Good Luck Everyone!!!

Kristina, please tell me more.  You had lost about 115 pounds and then gained all your weight back?  Then how did you lose it again?  You've lost 100 pounds of the regained weight?  I'm so anxious to hear more from you about this.  Would you please tell me exactly how you did this?  What was your diet like?  What type of diet did you follow?  Please give me lots of details!  Skeeterbug

I got out of the house!! I started my own restaurant at the beginning of last year. It was lots of work, physically to get the building in good shape. I have never been one to exercise so I really think this is what started the weight loss. Unfortunately I had to close the business. My husband got cancer at 33 and we live in a very small town, I just could not make it (ran out of money). I am still losing but slower now that I am back home. The more exercise the better. I should listen to myself!! I am going to try to start walking. The weather her in East Texas had been crazy but so has everywhere else. I know I am destined to lose the weight and be happy. The Lord and chemo cured my husband of his cancer and we have bigger and better things for out future. Good Luck and I hope we can all lose this weight and feel better about ourselves.

Kristina, Thanks so much for your reply!  I was so hoping I would hear from you again.  I am happy for you and your family that your husband has recovered from his cancer.  That is a blessing.  Can I please ask a couple questions?  Do I understand correctly that you originally lost 115 pounds and then gained it all back?  Then once you got out of the house and started working at the restaurant you lost about 100 pounds?  I know that  you feel the exercise and hard work contributed to the loss, but how did you eat to lose the weight?  Would you care to explain your diet plan for us?  Please answer!  I will feel sooooo much better if I hear that someone has actually succeeded at re-losing all the weight.  It would make me feel so much more confident that I can succeed. The more detail the better.  How exactly did you do it?  Thanks, Skeeterbug
