5 Years Post Op GAS PAINS HELP

My home email is [email protected].. Gee 02-19-02 is my surgery date.. now I reget it some days. I have printed all the emails and I am going to INSIST he do the exploratory and fix me. The dr I have here is not a WLS but he is the very best in this area. Already did my research on that this time.  Donna  

Hi, I am 3 yr out. Last april 3rd i stared having horriable pain in my belly right over my belly button and the pain would travel around to my back and my back on both sides would just throb with pain. I took tylonal and layed in bed crying finally fell asleep. This happend every time i ate..but more so at night. I felt i had to have a BM and did a little but with no relief. I went to my pcp the next day he ordered tests......nothing was found on any of them..he then sent me to gastro dr. with colonoscopy and endocopy all is well. By the time all the tests were scheduled and done ( over a month) my pain had not been as often ..and I found if when it first started I layed on my side in a fetal position (which by the way was the only thing that relieve the pain some) It would go away. But like the others my stomach swells when the pain starts and if i dont lay down right away I am in PAIN until i do. It keep getting worse if i sit up or stand. I do still get it ..it seems to be more after the evening meal..and its right after i eat...sometimes after a few bites. I go to see my WLS in May. I did go see him and he wanted to know the results of all the testing...but he thought it was something that could only be found with exploratory surgery.  As i read all these posts...I know im not alone with this....Im so glad that we have this board to communicate the problems and sucesses we are having.  I too will tell my wls about this and see what he thinks .......wonder why mine would go away if in fetal position? Maybe its a kink that streighens out when i lay down? Who knows. I know i only get it like once a month now..and head right to bed when i do...and get relief in 5 to 10 minutes. strange huh?
