2 years out and sick every day
Thanks to everyone. I looked online and found the pouch rules and am going to print them off and follow them very close for the next month. I am also writing everything I eat down. I had forgotten about the water rules and was glad someone reminded me. I really don't eat much anyway because of the fact that I am always sick. I will be sure to call my doctor this week and set up an appointment. If anyone has any other ideas please let me know. And thanks again for all of the help.

As you can see I had my surgery almost 3 years ago and still throw up a LOT , I used to stay with what I called my safe foods.....and there are so many things that I will not even try because its obvious that there would be no point. It is difficult but I have been scoped etc. I have learned that if I do throw up , my stoma will become irritated and swollen , and attempting to eat thereafter for a time is fruitless. I DO drink a ton of water as I have passed out (once) and I believe it was a hydration deficiency and my blood pressure dropped , I have been off the boards for a long time for many reasons , but most of all I was sick of hearing people talk about what they could eat and trying to stay away from it or feeling guillty etc. I have resolved that I will probably never eat a belove jumbo jack or anything like it. I remember people eating a month or two out things I doubt I ever will. Now in my opinion it is the way the surgeon performs the surgery that makes a huge difference, I have lost more weight than I ever expected and more than I am really comfortable with. I also no longer am diabetic, can run and do all the activities I could not for years. I would do it again (the surgery) and honestly IF I could eat the things I would really like I probably would gain the weight back, I just say to myself I had 30 some years of eating way more than my share so...........mebbe this is my saving grace, it does suck though and can be very embarrassing. I hope yours stops have a great day Carol
I am almost 3 yrs. out and have also had lots of episodes of diarrhea and distention sometimes I belch for hours anyway my doc wants us to eat 75-100 gms protien; 40 or less gms fat and 60 gms of carb while we are losing wt.I have been eating almost anything and havn't lost wt for more than a yr. Stopped at 277 started at 402lbs. I have most problems while cooking for my husband or when we argue. I am attending school now havn;t worked in 6 yrs due to my wt. I wonder does anyone else get the GI symtoms I do if I eat over 8-10 gms fat at one meal?
Good luck to all who are still trying after their initial losses.
