Heather,
WOW that is great!!! how many fills have you had? I had I think 3 or 4. I am suppose to go Wed. for my next. I am almosst at 3CC. But you know, I don't know if I need it yet, Though I am not losing, Things still have been getting stuck. I really think It is my choices that I am not losing. I really hope the weight starts kicking in.... Have you ever had a stand still??? Please fill me in on your journey.....
Antoinette
you may need a very slight twicking. i have gotten stuck at the same twice
once at 190 for 2 months, then I began doing protien trains and i get an adjustment. then this summer I got stuck at 170. I was at 3.0 at the time things were getting stuck but the scale was not moving currently I am at 3.25 cc that seems to be my majic number because the pounds have been rolling off nicely. I can't eat bread, or chicken everynow and then I can like during my cycle I can eat a horse with room to spare and I do.
but when i am full I let out these little ugly oh so attractive burps not. it's funny when I was preggo I did that and i hated now I am doomed to do that for the rest of my life. oh well small price to pay to get and stay within a normal weight range so I don't mind
I can't remember how many fills it took for me to get omy "sweet spot" I do know it didn't happen til september so I was almost a year out before I got good lasting restriction but I was told as you lose the fat around your stomach the restriction will change so I knew I was on track.

I am 20 months out (1 year and 8 months). Got it done in June 2005. Weight loss is slower than bypass, and you WILL hit plateaus, but be patient and stay with the program and it will slowly drop off. You also need to measure by how many inches you are losing. You will not lose pounds all the time -- sometimes you will lose inches. This particularly happens if you are exercising, because you are replacing fat with muscle, which weighs more.
I started at 266+, and after I got down near 200, my weight loss slowed down a lot. But I had picked up my exercise routine by then, so I dropped a lot of inches. I was about 195 at the one year mark, and then by this Fall I hit 182-185 and didn't move for several months. I just had a tummy tuck and implants, and now am at 172-174. I hope to lose another 10-20 pounds this year.
It gets slower and harder because the closer you get to your goal weight, the less difference there is between the daily calories you are burning up and the daily calories you are eating. Thus, you only have a calorie deficit of say 300 calories each day instead of 1,000, and since you need to lose 3,500 to lose one pound, you can see the weight loss is going to be much slower. (Hope that made sense.)
Congratulations on your loss so far! The rest will come off, don't worry -- if you stay with the program. You may need to fine-tune your program, though, to maximize weight loss.
I am almost 1 and a half years out. I have noticed that the more I lose the slower I lose. I am also more likely to platu.
