Best WLS Books

Hi All - I got my referral to see the surgeon. I'd like to buy some good books on pre and post WLS. Do you all have any recommendations? Thanks so much!

Hi Virgina, My favorite book is Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies, one of the yellow and black Dummies series books. It is very thorough, very honest, and I read it cover to cover a few times while waiting for my surgery approval! It helped me through some worries, that's for sure. Hope that helps, Steph

Hey Virginia! I enjoyed "Weight Loss Surgery; Finding The Thin Person Inside You" by Barbara Thompson. I have read it cover to cover MANY times in the last 3+ years! Good luck!! Hugs! Kristi

Hi- I got so much information and alot of great ideas from Susan Maria Leach book Before and After - Living and Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery and also the 2 books from Carnie Wilson. I can't remember the titles but my library had all 3. You may want to check with yours . Good luck to you! April
