Does anyone know if not eating enough will cause weight gain??? I know I don't eat enough, especially protein. Would that cause weight gain? I am 2 yrs out and I have gained about 10lbs. I don't Pig out, can't. But I know I don't get enough protein. I need to get back on track. That's why I'm here. Any help would help tremendously. Thanks, Molly CHEERS!!!

Molly, there are a lot of things that enter into the picture---how much you exercise, how many calories you take in, your own metabolism, etc. My suggestion is to go to fitday.com (a free program) and enter your food intake for a few days so you can see exactly how many calories you're taking in, as well as how much protein, etc. Eating too few calories can cause a stall in weight loss, but not sure if a gain of 10# could be attributed to that. You might be taking in more calories than you think, which is why fitday.com might help you. If you're replacing protein with fat and carbs, especially soft foods, you can probably take more food and calories in. Stay here with us, we'll help you get back on track. Remember, solid protein first, then veggies, etc. Hugs, Connie -147#

Molly, I'm struggling w/ the exact same thing. I'll be 2 years post-op next month and this morning the scale says I've gained 8 lbs. However, my "monthly friend" is on it's way any day now, so that may be attributing to some of the weight gain. I am going to make a conscious effort starting this week to drink my water, eat my protein and veggies and stay away from those ugly carbs. Too, my exercise routine has been horrible. I may have taken this surgery a little for granted thinking "oh, I don't need to work out." Wrong! I'm going to the gym TODAY! Hang in there. This website is a wonderful place for support! I think everyone is diffrent but I have heard a lot of people say that they have gained weight back and hardly eat at all.. I'm the total oppisite.. I only eat at night and When I do eat it's a ton but i struggle to stay above 105.. I'm at 108 and I have been pretty study their for two years.. I do drink lots of coffee and water during the day but i dont get hungry until night for some reason.. maybe it's from all the coffee. And yes i know that is a no no but my labs always come back good..                                                          xoxo, Kristy
