2 years and hit Goal

I never thought that it was going to happen. I pleateau at 1 1/2 years 15 lbs away from goal then I gained 5 lbs. However when I went to my two year follow up appointment I heard those wonderful words you weigh 143 lbs and your bmi is 24. They checked my height and I had found that I was two inches taller also. I called my mother (who has been a great support to me) and said guess what mom your daughter grew two inches and she is no longer overweight. My mom just laughed at me and said "well I could have told you that" I am now a size 8 from a size 28. When I started this Journey on feb 22, 05 I was 311 lbs. I feel amazing today. I called my friends that have had the surgery and told them the great news i just wanted to shout it from the nearest building. I guess what it boils down to is that just when you think you are done loosing you lose some more. Just be patient it will happen. remember it takes work to get there and to stay there.

Thanks for your post. I needed to hear that today. I am 15 months out and have been sitting 15 pounds from goal forever. Still eating like I should. Congrats to you.

you know I never thought it was going to happen but I started supplementing my diet with more protein and it worked. Keep me posted on your progress Adena

Thats great to hear!!! Im 1 1/2 years out and want to loose 20 more, and boy they dont want to go away!! Grrrrrrrr Congrats on your success!!!!!!!
