I just got my labs back and my Vit D is on the low side, still within range but it's definitely dropped allot in the past year. I just ordered some dry Vitamin D from vitalady. Much easier for our bodies to absorb than the oil form. This seems to be a common occurance I've seen lately especially in those over 2 years post-op. Dana

I am 26 months out and my labs are fine. My weight loss doctors told me to take a "sunbath" 3Xs a week since the sun helps us get Vit D. I try and spend 20 minutes each week in the sun getting this free Vit D. I also take 4 Optisource vitamins a day, also recommended by my weight loss doctors. Have you had a baseline bone density test performed. I am 59 years old and now have a bone density every two years to make sure that my body is not leaching calcium from my bones. Even with a normal calcium lab value, our bodies will take calcium to support itself. Good luck. Monica 330/160 goal

I am just 13 months out and had my blood work done Thursday. I am very anxious to get the results. I am 66 and was alittle low at six months and had the bone density test done. My doc put me on 1500mg of calciulm w/Vit D daily. I am so anxious to see if my tests are better and hoping all else is good. Saw my doc on the yearly and he said he didnt recognize me. I discussed the next surgery to remove my pouch and he took several pictures. He ask me if I wanted a belly button. I told him I want to look as normal as possible. lol He explained what he would do and the price is the same. Why wouldnt I want a belly button? I wanted to ask you what is the norm? I wouldnt be doing this for a few more months but it is exciting. I'm feeling pretty good and will let you know.

I had four tubes of blood taken too and am anxious to see the results. I am so anxious for spring to get here too. Sounds wonderful to be able to go out and walk in the sun, or work in my back yard. I walked the mall last week. I wasnt able to do that the past several years, but can now. I dont have a problem with bones or muscles hurting other than my one knee which needs a total knee replacement. (Maybe a fall surgery). I do have days where I sleep alot though especially if I am out alot or real busy the day before. I hope you are feeling better real soon! Marlene 275/171/140-150 would be nice
