Hi Joann. I too have lost 170 lbs and am now 26 months out. One of my secret tricks is using only salad or dessert sized plates, no regular dinner plates any more. I went and purchased beautiful plates for me and I only fill them once. This has so helped me to realize that smaller portions equal success. Good luck to you on your continued journey.

Hi Monica. I always use salad sized plates now too, but I never thought of going out and buying myself some special pretty plates!! I just use the every day ware that my family uses. I'm going to buy myself some special plates just for me, LOL!!! Thanks for the idea! Tracy B

I am 22 months out and have gained 20 pounds. Yikes. It is so easy to gain the weight. I went out of town back in october to visit my mom in Michigan and we were always going out to eat. Though I didn't eat a lot, I did a lot of wrong things, breads, pasta, etc. That would have been all only gaining 7 pounds. Then my boyfriend moved in with me and with him came english muffins, bagels, sweets, etc. Though I don't have a "whole" one of anything, I think maybe just a little snippet or a half of something brought me down. I do use and have always used little salad plates and the small forks when eating on my own, and very ocasionally use a big plate. I am now tryiing to get control of what I eat by elimiinating carbs and walking a lot for exercise. My surgeon suggested that possibly he didn't cut enough of the intestines out and may have to go in and take out more. I see him the end of this month to talk more about it. Has anyone talked to their surgeon about either doing a revision or just having more intestines taken out? What is the criteria? Karen
