About the iron issue ~

You may not realize this, but we do not absorb carbonyl. The type of iron supplement you should be taking is FERROUS FUMERATE. You can get Vitron C at WalMart or from Vitalady.com. Additonally, Twinlabs makes an iron capsule that is made from ferrous fumerate. Read the labels. I was very fortunate to come up against a support group leader who has researched the living daylights out of what works for us.

My surgeon went over the iron with me before surgery. He has me taking Ferrous gluconate though. His research tells him we absorb this better than the fumerate. I have not heard otherwise. Janna

you can get ferrous fumerate at walgreens under the name ferrosequals (sp) it is 10.00 for a box of 30 and 30.00 for a box of 100 I think. It is the only kind I take and my walmart does not carry this iron at all......even spoke to pharmacist about it and they did not have it. gnc carries thins kind of iron as well but dont recall the name. have a good day tammy

YOU may not absorb it but I do -- and I'm distal. It brought my iron levels up and has kept them there. Deb
