PMS'ing=Struggling
Ok, so I'm PMS'ing this week and really struggling to eat properly and the proper proportions~its driving me crazy!!!!!!! Why why why can I have so much self control at times and then at other time (pms, stress, etc) do I have no self control at all? It is so very frustrating to me. I only flucuate within a few pounds so I know I really should not complain, but I fear the day that I won't be able to gain my control back and I'll do nothing but gain weight back~scares the heck out of me! When I eat like this I don't even physically feel well, so why do I do it?? Well, hopefully tonite and tomorrow will go better!!!! Thanks for listening to my mini~rant!!!

I hear ya! I go through the same thing EVERY DARN month!!! My "loving" DH listened patiently to me complain about it and shared this bit of compassion, "Well, maybe next month you'll have those killer cramps that put you in bed for a couple of days, like they did last month. That way, you WON'T eat like you're complaining about!!" The one food that helps me during this time(cuz I need more CRUNCH, for some reason)is the pepperoni that I bake until they are chips...salty, crunchy, and yummy!!! I hope you feel better soon. Also, maybe something warm and "sweet" could fill your tummy, at least for a little bit?
Good luck,
Julie
Tracy - hang in there girl! Keep some s/f gum or popcicles close by. I try the craziest things during that week to see what helps - s/f jello.... p/b on bananas, apple chunks in s/f jello..... things with different textures. I know it totally stinks that not only do we have to deal with the "normal" maintaining issues but then we have this week that totally messes with our heads.
Don't fear that you will lose control - you are a strong, dynamic woman that gives nothing but support to the board! We all will be there if you start to lose it!
Hang in there - only 6 more days!!!

I feel your pain, girlfriend. I too am PMSing this week. Man, the cravings are so powerful. It drives me nuts. I can't wait for it to be over. I have to keep myself really busy and make sure I keep healthy stuff around. And even then I still manage to eat some crap I don't need that like you said makes me feel like crap. Crap in equals feeling crappy. So, why do we do it? Lord only knows. I guess that is the world of addiction. May the force be with us both. LOL.

Ok ladies....here is some more of my input...or output. I have learned that if I crave something and do not eat it....I will eat everything I can non stop. So if I crave chocolate....I will have a bite and it usually works.
My fav sweet is Swedish Fi**** is like gummy fish and you get a bag full for less than 2 bucks. Love em. I will make a bag last as long as possible. Sometimes I leave it at my office so I wont eat it at home.
So lets all practice self control......
lets remember how men dont understand.....
and warm blankets and fuzzy cats or cuddly puppies do understand our troubles( or so it seems they understand).
Thank goodness we only get these moments once a month....
Try reading a good book......Million Little Pieces by James Frey is about addiction. I suggest reading....it will pre occupy your mind and maybe the cravings and other issues will be pushed aside.
none of us are alone here......we all know whats going on.
