3 1/2 yrs out and 40 lbs on
My lowest weight was 175 and then I put on weight. I have been holding at 210 for 3 yrs but would love to get down to even 200. I don't feel that I eat that much - my pouch only holds 3/4 of cup. I don't seem to have much of an appetite and drink plenty of fluids - my biggest challenge is working out! Also - I would like to find a support group in the Inland Empire (Riverside County, Calif). Thanks for any help.
Hi, Katie. I don't think my pouch holds that much either, but I COULD eat about every hour or less, if I let myself, and I did for a while. I put back on almost 30 pounds, so I decided to go all protein and low-carb (basically Atkins diet). Exercising is a challenge for me, and always has been, as well. When I really took a hard look at how much and what I was eating, that's where I found the answer as to why I was gaining. It helps to make that apparent by tracking your food intake for a few days. If you want to share more about what you're eating and drinking, you'll find there will be lots of helpful suggestions as to how you can "tweak" to get the results you want.
Good luck,
Carlita
I am 2.5 years post GP and same story..I gained 12 lbs. Then I found isagenix supplement products. I use their protein shake, cleanse, vitamins and calcium. Weight was gone in 1 month and I feel better than I ever have. My skinniest size 6 pants fit again, praise the lord. Try isagenix..I swear by it. If you want to email me, I'll tell you everything I know.
Good luck!!!

Hi Katie:
Have you thought about going back to Weigh****chers?? A lot of LT bariatric patients do... for the accountability (weekly weigh in, point counting, etc.) I think they have free registration right now. I know that when I do that, I can easily lose 7-9 pounds the first week. Also motivates me to exercise, because I can eat more.
It's a totally different ball-game when you only have 30-40 pounds to lose, then like pre-surgery.
Also, if you can make it to goal... you'll get Lifetime membership... which should give you monthly accountability.
