Well hello everyone, how is everyone? I am ok....have been fighting a cold. Good lord it is cold in Arkansas. I thought Boston was cold and Arkansas warm.....um yeah ok. Ok so how am I ? Well weighed in at 147. Walked 2 miles on the treadmill before 6am. Drank a protien shake for the first time since surgery...ewwww they suck. I added some instant wal mart brand cappuccino mix to it....it made it bearable, but not a big juicy steak by no means. Does anyone here have a lack of interest in water after 1pm? I can drink alot before 1 but once 1pm hits....I cant drink much.Wonder why??? any suggestions??? OK alot of people have been talking about alcohol after surgery. Well lemme tell you this.....I was on Beale Street in Memphis about one a half years post op. I was drinking these frozen drinks called CALL A CAB.....they are made with everclear. Ok they were going down really good....I drank two and the bartender was shocked i was still upright as most people have one and stagger...ok so anyhow to ake a long story short.....the next day I woke up with my belly button pierced. Um it wasnt there before the 2 CALL A CABS......so my advise.......limit your alcohol or non at all. I dont know how the belly button ring got there...and cant tell you who paid for it. HEHEEHEE....................ok yall be good talk soon Tammy

In regards to water, I throw my coffee cup in the microwave, heat it up, and that's the only way I can get enough water in for the day. The protein drink dilemma...I use my protein scoop in the morning as a substitute for creamer in my coffee. Just have to make sure the temp is below 160 on the coffee or it'll clump. Let it sit for a couple of minutes, that should do it. I started to lose again(2# in 2 weeks), but, I'm losin' again after 8 months. The only change I made was the protein powder in the coffee. That might help the protein go down. You could probably make it an iced-coffee, too. I would just wait until it was all mixed before pouring it over ice. Julie

Oh Tammy, I can so relate to your bb piercing story!!! Not that I got my bb pierced, but I literally do not remember 4hrs of my life~I could have done just about anything and I wouldn't have know it! That was VERY scary to me so no more 3/4 of a bottle of Absolut for me~2 or 3 drinks are ok, but overdoing it just isn't for me anymore! Tracy B 328/150 5'9"

Hi Tammy!! Laura here! I had to laugh at the belly button piercing incident! How crazy is that!! Once again, a cheap date with alcohol?? HAHA I had my nipples done years ago at my husband's request, and that lasted 1 year before I removed them. They never healed and just plain hurt! Not to mention the sensation was horrible, and my husband did NOT like that! Anyway, I just wanted to say hi. I am at work right now so I should go. Have a good one, everybody! Laura

Laura, yeah I still cant figure it out. I was wearing a plaid school girl skirt with fishnets and my skirt was on backwards. I was with my someone I knew and they say I never left them. Also got a tattoo in an odd place from drinking too. I dont even touch the stuff now because I will either get tattooed or pierced. So I leave it alone. My ex husband said the surgery changed me......I told him as he was walking out the door at my request...no it did not change me...the real me was hidden under all the fat and denial of your affairs. I dont need you. so you can say I lost 86 pounds from surgery....and 135 from kicking his dumb ass out. Sorry for the language, but it is how I feel. ahhh life is good to be skinny . well it is almost quittin time.....no computer at home......see you all tomorrow. huggs, tammy

You crack me up! I did that before my surgery. In fact, I know he would not have been as supportive as my (current) husband for the weight loss. He is terrified of change, and I can only imagine how he would have been with me being skinny too. Greg, my current, (and last!!) loves the change. He was married to a woman before who is still morbidly obese, she is shorter than me, and was always larger. (At my biggest, at 5'7" I was 264. I just added photos to my profile if you want to see the old and new. ) I know he is happy to finally have a thinner wife. I am sooooo happy it is me, too! Anyway, what is the tat of? I have 5 of them, and my husband is sleeved, so I love them. I just finished culinary school, and my next one will be in June sometime, after I graduate. It will be a chef's hat, with my "Chef Laura" under it. I also want Tinkerbell, and a Tiara with "DIVA" under it, but Greg says I am not a diva, and I should not get that. In my heart, I feel I am, because I am not the most easiest person to live with, and I just like it! Having this surgery DID change me. I am now confident, I love myself now. I went back to school, got a new job, and will be looking for another again soon, in the food business. I want to be a personal chef for people like us, with special needs diets. I know it will teach me alot, and I feel like I am a sponge right now. I am gonna check out your profile. Have a great evening and take care! Love your sense of humor! Laura

I have to say your post made me actaully laugh at loud. Believe me I needed a good chuckle today. Yeah, I think most of us are all cheap drunks now. Doesn't take much anymore. I went out a few weekends ago and had about three drinks and I'm missing some time there...maybe that's why my friends haven't called me since that night! Who knows what I did! Jane
