Hernia

Hi everyone, I haven't been here since Hector was a pup, but I have to ask a question. I believe I have a hernia along the incision scar, on the inside, of course. I thought I felt something wrong last year, but nothing seemed all that bad when I had my annual check-up with my PA. In December I had a bug that made me cough a lot and, lo and behold, I get a lump going in and out. It didn't bother at first, but as the weeks roll on the lump seems to be out more than in and it's getting uncomfortable (not painful) especially when I lift the big kettles in the kitchen where I work. I can't seem to hold my stomach in without it bouncing out. Does or has anyone had this problem? I'm sure it's been discussed, but like I said, I haven't been here in ages. Just don't seem to have the time anymore but I miss it. Thanks in advance for any advice. Best, Janice W.

Sorry Janice but.... It sounds like a hernia and if you routinely lft heavy things please don't ignore it. A hernia that gets ignored can get very serious. Good luck Ann

I had a hernia in my incision. I got it fixed back in august, also had the skin removed at the same time. My hernia started out small and got bigger and bigger.

Hey, Janice, I have good news and bad news! I had a huge hernia within a year of my surgery. Sounds exactly like what you've got...nothing to trifle with. The good news was that my insurance covered that repair along with my TT! Maybe you don't need that, but I sure did. Don't ignore it! Sheryl
