HELLO!!!
Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I am not usually at this forum, figured I would give it a shot. I dont have much in my profile...I dont really have time. Hard to believe I am creeping up on 6 yrs post op. Have had some ups and downs....gains and losses. Divorce.....kids learning to drive....oh the insanity of it all.
well I am interested in joining your group.......
have a nice day
Tammy
hey Tammy ... welcome! congrats on 6 years!! We'd love to hear more of your story, and hopefully we will. This is a great forum, not too busy, but there are some great in-depth conversations regarding everything from regain to hypoglycemia to meds to other things longer term post-ops may experience.
Good to have you on board!
Karyn
Julie and Karyn,
thank you both for the warm welcome. somedays you just need to talk to someone with whom you can relate. I look forward to becoming friends with everyone. It is almost like we are our own new " race " of people. I have only met one person who has had the surgery and sadly he passed last year from unrelated causes.
My current issues are re-gain and nothing tastes good. I dont care to eat anything but do. I am back on the treadmill....that really is fun....um yeah ok that was a joke. I am having "twins" in march......actually it is also breast lift and implants. We all like to refer to them as the twins......we are even talking about having a "booby shower".
oh what fun,
talk soon Tammy
Tammy,
Welcome to the Grads board! It is wonderful to hear from a long-time post-op!
I just had "twins" on Halloween and I really need a "Booby Shower"!! My ps still has me restricted to non-underwire, non-pushup bras. Most bras have underwire, so finding one that fits & doesn't have wire has been challenging! The only one I've found that fits is at Victoria's Secret and it isn't cheap! Oh to be buying $15.00 bras at Target again! I can't wait to see my ps in Feb. when I hope he'll tell me I can go back to underwire bras. Then watch out! I'm going shopping for sexy bras in every color of the rainbow!!
Keep in touch!

Hello. Thanks for the welcome as well. Being six years post op I have learned to not cheat. Because I have and now pay for it with a slight weight gain. I have learned that milk is not my friend and apples too......alcohol is a no no unless you want to get drunk just by smelling it.
I still have up and down days....I have weeks where the weight flux is a pound or maybe 4 pounds. Water is to be my new best friend and I hate it. So much for friendship. My enemy Coke classic is still in my life. Although my addiction has went from 12-24 cans a day to only 1. I have tried to quit it and cant. My daughter says I am B*#@H.....if I dont have a coke. Sorry for the language.
It is amazing how my whole life has changed. Even divorced my husband!!!!
if you have any questions ask.....I will answer the best I can.

Wow! That is honesty!
My enemy/friend is chocolate. I have to have 1 hershey kiss a day or I am the biggest b*/*%$ too. Funny how addictions do that, huh?
I loved the alcohol line, I love bloody mary's and I am glad to say that I can drink a small 4 oz one at home, and to my husband I am a cheap date! A sure thing, if you will, lol!!!
We should exchange emails. All of us!
