Is Hoodia okay for us?

I haven't been on here forever, but I am four years and 3 months out and have managed to gain about 15 pounds this past year. I am not willing to stay where I am with the extra pounds and really want to lose it again and a little more. I got a free one-week sample of weight loss patches but I want to make sure there's nothing harmful to me. They are 24-hour patches and the label says "Curb Your Appetite, Boost Metabolism, Support Weight Loss, One-a-Day Topical Patch. Ingredients (Proprietary Formula): Hoodia gordonii, Citrus aurantium & Guarana." You place the patch on a relatively hair free part of the body (arm, should or back). I got them from curbyourcravings.com Has anyone tried this before or does anyone know if it's okay to use them? I'm thinking if they do curb my cravings (for sweets/chocolate) for the week and I get used to not eating the bad stuff during that time, then maybe after that I can stay on track without them. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help. Pam

Hoodie by itself is basically holistic as it's from a cactus plant. So, I don't think it has any different effect on a WLS patient versus not. On another note, I don't really believe any of the those OTC appetite suppressants. They don't affect the brain as prescription ones do to make you not hungry. My advice would be water load and follow the rules. Your pouch will work for you if you make it Good luck.
